      In these freeplay pots, thought it's not really worth losing a stack after putting so little in. Haven't seen him shoving flops like this, so not sure if calling is profitable in this spot? Too nitty a fold?

      FWIW, he's 29/9/AF-1.5 after 137 hands.

      Pretty reasonable flop fold imo. If he'd been playing crazy obviously you should call, but as you mention, this is first time you've seen him doing it. Very often an 8 with good kicker or 33.
