      What kind of range would you expect a new guy to 3bet with? I'm guessing it's the premiums and hands that crush us so I favor folding.

      it's just the idea of defending against unknown fishes (no idea if passive/aggro), we also have position.

      just favour suited connectors and pocket pairs (aka "try to hit a monster and stack him")?
      what about suited broadways?

      Since we expect him to have a premium range I prefer calling speculative hands that are not dominated. Pocket pairs and suited connectors are nor dominated. But Broadway are. But it really isn't a big issue because the chances of you and him both hitting a pair is pretty low. TThere would only be 2 outs and most of the time they don't hit and we can take the pot down so I'll play suited broadways like suited connectors
