I think the call preflop and the float in position are okay and fairly standard(?).

Villain's line is strange though. What kind of hands to people show up with in these situations? Top of his range is flopped sets I suppose, but he could also have turned a strong spade draw or have Kx of clubs maybe.

      The questions:
      1) Is Hero's play okay so far?
      2) What range do people take V's line with?? Is it just a "play" or is it a genuine hand?

      Hey,

Hero's play is fine so far imo.. You can consider also checking back and trying to go to showdown but your hand is quite vulnerable so you capitalize on a lot of dead money by betting instead.

On the turn, people are not just making plays that often. Even if they are, unless they are making them very often and are completely out of line, we should not think about it too much when we have air. We can have hands like combo draws, Kx, sets that don't necessarily fold here so we can construct a good calling range when required. Fold should be best with our A high.

Yeah I was pretty happy to fold ace high here. But the line tilted me slightly and was just curious what range people do this... ?(

Annoyingly it's the kind of line that probably rarely gets to showdown, unless it's a cooler situation set/set or similar

It rarely goes to showdown becaue people don't do it often. If they don't do it often, it's mostly because they are waiting for a made hand to do it with instead of waiting for the perfect blocker hand to bluff with. :)
