SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K:diamond: A:club:

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 4 BB, fold, CO calls 4 BB, fold, fold, BB calls 3 BB

      Flop: (12.5 BB, 3 players) A:spade: 7:diamond: 7:spade:
BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

      Turn: (12.5 BB, 3 players) 5:club:
BB bets 8 BB, Hero raises to 25 BB, fold, BB calls 17 BB

      River: (62.5 BB, 2 players) K:spade:
BB checks, Hero bets 50 BB, BB calls 50 BB

In most multi way pots in this situation a cbet seems to make everyone fold. I checked thinking check/raise. No one bet though.

The 5 looked like a blank so I raised hoping to isolate a weaker A. I couldn't see the villain having much else and I wanted to get rid of flush draws.

      He called. I didn't think he'd call with a flush draw. I had 2 pair so I still thought I was ahead...so I bet.

Should I have bet the flop? Checked the river?

      Hi Edukator,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: There are some draws on the board and since it's paired you can get value from Ax and most other pairs. Going for a raise here is a mistake imo.

And as you played you are betting really big on a big scare card and i doubt you get many Ax hands to call unless BB is a huge fish and he isn't.

I would simply bet flop and turn and check river.
