      BTN showed J J and won $0.95 ($0.45 net)

Villain is 15/12 over 275 hands.

What is better here pre? Defending by calling or 3betting?

As played, what is the best line to take post flop? I went for a check/call on the flop because I had a strong hand. Plus, even if a diamond would come I'd still have the second nut flush redraw. In addition, a J would give me a straight.

The turn blanks out, so now I think his betting range is quite a bit stronger, but still includes a fair amount of draws, probably, or pair + draw type hands.

The river is basically the worst card in the deck, so I went for a check/fold.

Can we play this any differently? Perhaps raise the flop or something?

      Hi TinoLaan,

Preflop: looks fine. Unless we can 3-bet for value I would just call like you did.

Postflop: I think that you played the flop and turn fine but given the villain I would donk/fold the river if we had a Jx or flush. With our hand we are check/folding.
