Because of the fact that Villain is quite aggressive I call his raise on the flop!
The Board is quite dry, so I think he would play a strong madehand passive on the flop.

What is your play on the turn and river?

D/F is not so good, because there are no draws outside.

      So C/C Turn - C/F River, maybe?

      What do you mean?

      CO: $211.10 (24/20/25/3,5) ~250 hands

[ the stats are quite representative: MP was a loose-passive fish while CO seemed to be kind of a thinking TAG; no important personal history with any of both ]

      Pre-Flop: 7:spade: 7:diamond: dealt to Hero (BTN)
UTG folds, MP calls $1, CO raises to $5, Hero calls $5, 2 folds, MP calls $4

      Flop: ($16.50) 2:club: 5:diamond: 5:club: (3 Players)
MP checks, CO bets $11, Hero calls $11, MP folds

      Turn: ($38.50) 4:club: (2 Players)

      River: ($82.50) 6:spade: (2 Players)
      CO checks, Hero checks

Due to the fact that I was running bad with some smalish PPs during the last months I was wondering if I make -ev-decisions in standardsituations. As an example for an hand I don't know which line is best I found the one posted above.

Preflop is kind of an ABC-call. I'd like raising if MP was 100bb deep but with him being that short, I was afraid of an limp/push. Propably wrong as he also might do stuff like that with me coldcalling. But it's not really the preflopcall I'm worried about.

What to do on this kind of flop with my small overpair? Folding is propably to weak, as CO might C-bet here a lot. But I don't like raising either. It's just so obvious what kind of hand I have then. Also I fold out nearly every worse hand, while I won't make any better hand (maybe unless 88-TT) go away. Maybe CO even 3bet bluffs me, knowing that I can hardly call my PP there.
But flatcalling lets CO draw to propably at least 6 overs, which i dont know, sometimes even to a flush and also gives MP huge odds.

Turn doesn't make it easier. CO obviously may only sometimes have the flush but often the one-card-FD. Should I raise it up now? But that kind of commits me, while giving villain the possibility to fold his worse hands and call/push his better ones.
As his bet is that small it does not look like the nuts or an overpair he wants to protect. More like something he'd like to see a cheap river with. So I call to reevaluate at the river. Is that a mistake?

Obviously I loved him checking to me at the river, letting me take the free SD.
Is it a fold if he bets out on that river? Is there any card than a 7 I could call a bet with? Is it exploitable if I call the first two barrells, folding to a third?

What turn cards can I call his bet on? What to if turn brings up something like an offsuite T, J, Q, K? Is it an easy fold if its an club-overcard?
Is it also a call if he bets out close to pot ($35) on that turn?

Might this be an situation where it is not only easier but also reasonable to fold an hand that beats villain's range at the flop, as it plays so bad on later streets?

      Thanks for your explanations.

Can I ever fold this here? I see the problems in him being that taggy-passive, getting aggro in a 3betpot and us both 2 stacks deep. Of course he often may c/r me in that spot with an overpair worse than mine. But against my push he will propably fold everything else than maybe KK, which he tried to trap me preflop. That I hold the Ad is good as I have a redraw against any non-FHs but bad as it blocks AKdd/AQdd-type of hands which he might have played the same line with.

Is calling better, trying to represent a draw and the hope to bring it in at any turn? or should i fear that diamonds or high cards kill my action?
