      Greetings again!

It's been what, already a year when i started to take poker seriously and had ambitious goals and fantasy about good life with poker ?
haha, i just love how reality kicks you in the nuts more often than you realize, even if you think that everything is as good as that can be...

So in this one year i went through so many things that it's unbelievable i still continiue to playing poker and whats more interesting that i'm still not thrown out of my parents basement(joke, bedroom, but it's the same thing), but sooner or later it will change, very soon...

Poker summary, 2012, June to 2013 June:

Played more than 2million hands, mostly NL2 and NL5 won few grands, was afraid to move to NL10 but i made small shots and won few hundred dollars etc.
Also was whining alot about MTTs, that i'm the unluckiest in whole world etc. but than this year in March i concentrated 10 days only on MTTs and played 16+ hours everyday just to prove myself that i can win it and for suprise i did.
First i finished 12 or 13 in HOT4.40$(first place almost 5k$)(was ahead 80:20 and pot was more than 1.5million) and than finally took first place in 1.10$ for almost 600$ :) , i finished playing it 9:30 in the morning, haha, that day i played almost 24 hours straight, good times, good times. Also had other deep runs in other tourneys and finished a lot in top 50th.

As i'm proud with my poker winnings and accomplishments and ofcourse with all this i should already be playing Nl100+ but there's one thing that ruined everything, Psychology .

So in these 12 months my bankroll was up to 2k$ from nothing 4 times, and all the times i withdraw and left few dollars, why ? beats me. Yeah i could say that i had school loans, other smaller loans also i needet to give back 800$ to a friend etc. but it wasn't mandatory, for fucks sake, i could easly say that i will give it back 5-6 months later, cause he was a close friend and he would understand at that time and i could continue to grinding until i'll have enough bankroll for Nl50 and than it would be a piece of cake. The same goes for banks, i could easly pay those monthly payments as long as i would have enough bankroll for NL50, but no, i just withdraw whole bankroll to give everything away and again, staying with a fucking few $ in my cashier...

why,why i'm doint this, why i'm afraid of something, why the fuck i'm afraid of success. haha, the funniest and miserable thing is that it wasn't forced to pay everything back as fast as i can, cause i could easly pay that 6 or 12 months later, pff even years later but instead, without thinking, i payed whenever i had enough bankroll to play at limits where i could easly pay my loans and leave money for, i don't know, fucking LIVING...

But like always, everyone are smart after certain exedent or mistake so yeah, who knows, maybe it's for good, but right now i feel that i wasted my precious and only life for nothing, haha it's sad that we don't have "nine" lifes like cats :D

      Future Poker goals,achievements etc.

Anyway, in this year i read a lot of books like, "Secret of the millionaire mind by T. Harv Eker", ":59 seconds by Professor Richard Wiseman", "Serendipity's Secret by Samantha Babington(my favorite so far)", "How to get from where you are to where you want to be by Jack Canfield", read also a lot of artickles, about success, why people are afraid of success etc.

Also printed an interesting guide from PokerStrategy, don't remember who wrote that but it was called "The quick guide to skyrocketing your (poker) productivity" which i will start to re-read and will(without procrastination) use it to my fullfilment(dunno if used the word right). Also will post every content and chapters in this blog and see how much it will change me and also hope it will encourage others to change themselfs too :)

So my main purpose right now is to play poker as much as i can, find a cure to my stupidity, learn poker and also share my thoughts(poker and psychological) to other and see where this all goes.
Also i always wanted to make an poker video(educational) for pokerstrategy and also make a small poker group where i could help other people to be profitable at poker tables(mostly micro at the moment).
but anyway right now my main goal is to get out of my parent house and move to Japan(hope to arhieve both at the same time) and finally use to CAP tables, ahhhhhhh, can't wait.
All the goals and other things i will post later, first need to decide what's else i want to change, archieve so it will take some time :)

      p.s. Thanks for reading :)

      Hey jurish123!

Wow, that's quite a story! You say you might have been afraid of success, but I'd call making a few grands at NL2-NL5 (and the occasional tournament) quite the success! Not many people can claim to have made that much at those limits. There's not many people that want to play more than 2 million hands on those limits. So rather than being this harsh at yourself, you should also look at the bright side of things!

Paying back your debts is important, and frankly can't be done soon enough in my opinion! Even though you might have been able to pay it back even later, it's never a bad thing to pay your debts back early. Not only does it mean you don't have any debts anymore, but why would you leave a close friend waiting unnecessarily? But again, that's just my opinion! :)

That said, I do like that you're being self-critical. Many people fail to see when they are making mistakes, or deny that they have made mistakes. It's good to see that you think there's room for improvement for yourself, and that you're willing to spend time and effort on those improvements!

Good luck with everything, and hopefully you'll be crushing NL1k soon :f_biggrin:

      Regards,
      Tino

Yeah, but grinding so long in NL2 and NL5 it shows that i have some self-esteem problems, which im still not aware of, but at least everyday i'm closer to solve this puzzle :)

True, but, the last time i owned him money, it took him much longer to give the money back :D But yeah, i hate to be in debt and im happy that i was able to clear my debt sooner than i should but still have this "what if..." thought. :)

      And thanks :)

      You're very welcome :)

Yeah, the feeling of being in doubt sucks. I think we all have been there! I think you should just try to believe that you have made the right decision, as hard as it may be.

Maybe it's worth it for you to tell your story here: +++Q&A with Jared Tendler!!+++

Jared Tendler is an expert on the poker mindset and will most certainly be able to give you some advice on how to deal with situations like this :)

I already bought his "The Mental Game of Poker" book and using it when i'm feeling down but like always, it's much harder than it sounds :)

And that's excatly how it is, you need to believe in yourselft that whatever you did you made the right decision and don't be too hard on himself but like i said, it's harder than it sounds :)

But that's why i started this blog, so that finally i can get out of this shithole and get free from these psychological chains :)

Yes, it is much harder than it sounds. But creating this blog is already a huge step in the right direction then! And having Jared Tendler's book is also definitely a good thing!

Keep it up! I'm sure if you continue working like this, you'll break free from your chains soon enough :)

      Keep us updated :)

The first week of July was kinda busy but also interesting. First thing first, my father's aunt had a stroke which was a big suprise for everyone, at first they thought that she's not gonna make it but after few days she opened eyes and even if she couldn't talk, she was able to smile which is good, i think...

So after this suprise another suprise happened(good one), an old friend of mine decided to visit me and decided to bring bicycles, as mine was broken, he took two, but as his car was too small, i went to his place(smth like 40-50km away from my place) and took bicycles, so for the next 3 days i rode more than 60km which is MUCH(the last time i workout was 4 years ago, and yes i'm pretty much overwieght:) ), so it was a frustrating challenge but i manage and even if for the next two days i couldnt walk it was worth it :)

So i decided that finally is time to get rid of my belly and start a healty life. Not gonna start doing 1000 push ups etc. in the first day but something like 30 a day(15x2) and gonna ride with bicycle around the city(~4km) so yeah, first i'll get use to everydays exercises and will give time for body to get use to it and will decide what to do next :)

So yeah that's all what i wanted to say about last weak, later today i will post poker goals, weight goals and also this months graph.

      Poker Goals:

The most important poker goal is to play as much as i can and try to move up as fast as i can but as anyone knows it's hard to predict how much you will win tomorrow or next week so the best way is just to just split everything into the steps, so:

      BR 450$ - Play NL5x4(Zoom) + NL10x2(Zoom) [Playing]

      BR 600$ - Play NL5x4(Zoom) + NL10x4(Zoom)

      BR 750$ - Play NL10x4(Zoom) + NL25x1(Zoom)

      BR 1000$ - Play NL10x4(Zoom) + NL25x2(Zoom)

      BR 1500$ - Play NL10x4(Zoom) + NL25x4(Zoom)

      BR 2500$ - Play NL50CAP and NL50 HU

Also there's a new promotion "PokerStars Mobile $250K Giveaway" so gonna rake those 10vpp's everyday throu mobile and hope to get drawn, so the promotion is from 7-31 July so i need to rake 250vpp's, so yeah that's one of my goals this month.

      Rake 250vpp's throu mobile - 20/250

MM(MicroMillion) will start in 18 July and will continiue until 28 July and i already picked all the tourneys that i hope to play in those days:

All together will cost me 308$ which i can't afford cause my BR isnt that big, so i'll try to rake as much vpps as i can and try to buy or win a ticket to tourneys and if i'll not win a ticket or tourney will be too expensive i will just play smaller non MM tourney like 1.10$ or other micro mtts.

And the last thing i wanted to mark as goal was saving money from poker. Throu last year when i played poker i didn't bought any clouths or spoiled myself to a nice dinner and it tilted me a lot so this year i decided that i will save money everyday, doesnt matter if i run good or bad and i will not spend it till november or december. And also i want to see how much you can save if you just put aside 0.5% from your BR everyday.

      Saved: £15.08

It's already late so i will post my weight goals tomorrow, so yeah i think poker wise it's gonna be enough for beginning :)
