hi, im trying to learn nash calling ranges. here is my first problem.

i filtered the bubble (9men so 4 players) and SB is shoving 4BB int BB.
looking at the results and it doesn't make any sense to me. sometimes very similar stack dynamics and everything but the difference is sometimes 15-20%

i cant find any pattern in it so what now? how to learn it?

      examples from HR Calculator

      example 1:

      CO - 16,6 BB
      BU - 21,6 BB
      SB - 4,5 BB
      BB - 24,8 BB

      SB shove: 65%
      BB call: 64%

      example 2:

      CO - 19,7 BB
      BU - 21,4 BB
      SB - 3,8 BB
      BB - 22,6 BB

      SB shove: 69%
      BB call: 79%

both examples are on the same blind level.
very similar stack distribution, similar shoving range (64-69%) and jet still the calling range is totally different. 15% difference. does this make any sense?

and this is just one example.

any advice? how can i learn this?

In second hand SB shove wider and has smaller stack, which means better pot odds for BB to call. Thus wider calling range. Seems logical to me.

Just play around with different situations and your understanding of these spots will improve all the time. In these hands it's mainly about SB range and pot odds. ICM is basically irrelevant as BB has so huge stack compared to SB.
