William Hill has been the worst poker site that I have played. I deposited 3 days ago and on began playing the day after my deposit.

In this day the software disconnected/crashed 3 separate times, resulting in the loss of approx 11 BI's. Have just moved up stakes this was a hard loss. I emailed them to see if they could investigate and hopefully refund me. I will find out the answer to this within days.

I am currently playing on WH and to make it all worse, I'm on between 8-14 tables and their site disconnected me AGAIN. I can't log in and now I am probably blinded out, unless their service is down for everyone.

Things to note - I have the best interest connection my area has to offer 80mb down/ 30 upload. My connection didn't go down.

      - I have a solid computer so the software crashes isn't due to CPU/RAM incompetence.

I am incredibly frustrated. I actively work on my game everyday and am taking a shot at making a living from poker, having these problems makes me question the stability of my goals as well as the stability of the particular site.

Should I withdraw my money and move on to another site? This is so tilting :'(

      Hey guys,

No idea what is going on I'm afraid, maybe some maintenance or technical problems.

I can definitely confirm it is affecting the whole iPoker Network. The best advice I can offer is to contact their support regarding refunds etc. I am sure they will be dealt with on a first come, first served basis.

      Regards,
      Gary.

I would like to follow up on the problem.

I believe the site has reimbursed me for my losses. I don't know if they have repaid me in full, yet. Money randomly was sent to my account. I was told that I would receive an email confirming if they were to re-credit my account. That email has not come but money has.
I am not sure how I should go about calculating the amount they credited my account. I looked through my transaction history and there is no evidence shown.

I feel that Ipoker is being just in their attempts. My only complaint is the fact that I don't know how much they have given me, whether it be more or less than deserved.

William Hill had a server maintenance July 2.

There is some possibility that something went wrong, or it could just be a random internet outage.

I believe -- but did not confirm -- that WH (at least) is based in Gibraltar, which had power problems this morning.

PokerStrategy.com was also apparently affected, but I did not notice anything.

These things happen from time to time, there is no way for users to avoid them.

This has happened to me at least once on every room I've ever played on.
And any time I've ever lost money it was returned. Most sites have somewhere in their terms and conditions a clause that states the extent of their liability in the event of a crash. It would be worthwhile knowing that for the rooms you play on. It usually contains a procedure for making a claim.

I'm glad to hear that you are fixed up for the moment.

      Best of luck,
      --VS
