      Hello,

Preflop: the starting hands chart indicates call20.
Preflop I don't have initiative and I just call him. I don't believe raising flop or turn will make better hands fold. On the river I wasn't sure, but I had an overpair so I called.

      Hi MarliesB,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I agree that calling is generally standard but given his small bets we should raise at least the turn for thin value. We can fold to a 3-bet.

Thanks for your quick reply. But if I raise on the turn, I don't see any weaker hands like Tx call. How exactly are we getting more value by raising the turn instead of calling the riverbet? Is it because a scarecard like AKQ can fall?

      Yes, you are correct.

Generally he doesn't have many worse pairs (although 99, 66, 77) are possible. However, his bet sizes may indicate hands like AK/AQ that are trying to see cheap turn/river cards.
