this may not seem to be all that bad, just general variance... however, this happened over 400 hands...

and these are just the ones i posted for today.

i have plenty more at about this rate of BB/100(bad beats per 100 hands) which has made NL50 on titan VERY unprofitable with an average rate of:

-256 big blinds per 100 hands over a 2000 hand range.

      can anyone top THAT?

I lost AQo vs KQo on tournament. He gets flush :(

And i lost before AQo vs A7o but he was shortstacker and i bigstacker so that was ok ;)

i forgot AA vs JJ which really crippled me in tourney :(

      Hi Semesa,

I feel your pain bru! I have been short stacking and the last 20k hands or so have all been like that. Last night I played a perfect SSS game according to the basic strategy section and over about 1.5k hands I lost another $40 and every session is like that, day after day after day after day... I analyze my play afterwards in Elephant and can't see any obvoius mistakes. I play according to the strategy and don't even bring in steals and adjustments with my re-raising ranges (except if the guy is very tight, then I will fold JJ after a re-raise) but still I keep on losing.

What is encouraging for me is that the level of play is spectaculary BAD and that means PROFIT over a decent sample size. I looked at this one guys graph over 71days he played about 300k hands making a profit of $250k! What was intersting is that he had downswings of $25k over 15k hands in some places. But him sticking to his correct way of play he made all that badluck and coolers insignificant as he still managed to make a huge profit.

I know it is very tough but my advise is to move down to NL25 even if you have the BR for NL50. Get your confidence and hopefully form back and remember that winning $10 in a session is better than losing $50 or more. I'm playing NL10 again now because I had some nice success there in the past although I have BR for NL25, I was up to $450 at one stage now I'm down to $200. Keep on working on your game and try not let the results influence the way you play.

      Better luck hopefully ;)

      Hi Semesa,

Its good to let off abit of steam, and venting your anger. But....

When you make threads like this you are highlighting the bad times, and then they stick in your head. Therefore your tilting yourself constantly, without being aware of it. The brain is programed to remember the bad times, and not the good times as much. You need to jot down, everytime you got lucky, or everytime you have been rewarded for your bad play. Then whenever you feel its unfair, look at the times you have sucked out.

Remember, by playing SSS, your only playing premium hands, therefore you will be sucked out on more than you suckout.

      Best regards
      Stiev

I understand what you are trying to say Cannell, but i have to disagree. I think a thread like this is good, it gives you the opportunity to vent without doing it at the table in the form of tilting. You do make a good point though about remembering when you get lucky as well as when you get sucked out upon.

For the record, i got lucky with my JJ beating QQ today, but not so lucky with AA losing to 9-10s, KK losing to QQ, and JJ losing to 8-10s
      :(
