Preflop: Hero is SB with Q J
2 folds, BTN raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $5, BB folds, BTN calls $3.50

      Flop: ($10.50) 6 J 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $5.50, BTN calls $5.50

      Turn: ($21.50) 7 (2 players)
      Hero checks, BTN checks

      River: ($21.50) 2 (2 players)
      Hero checks, BTN checks

      24/21, BTN raise 1st 58/BTN foldto3b 68/foldtocb in 3betpot 48/float turn 54, river 41/wtsd 27/28k hands

      BB is a 39/14 fish, 2-3% 3bet, small sample.

Could calling be better here because of the fish, and because BTN folds a lot against 3bets? After he called what would be your postflop plan? I chose to cbet, because it seems weaker, as I cbet here almost always as bluff. Planned to check/call turn against floats, but not sure about river.

      Hey Holy,

Preflop call can be OK with a fish in the blinds. Your hand plays well multiway but 3bet is still clearly +EV.

Postflop, I like a turn bet tbh because I don't see THAT many complete air floats on this board texture. Most will now have some sort of pair + redraw... 88, 99, TT doesn't bet, 65s, 87s, etc. all just check back.
