Villian is a reg with an EP raise of 8% over 3k hands. i wasnt sure but because raise was from EP and i was likely to be in postion as remaining players were tight i just called, should i have 3 bet 3x here. Should i call or fold the riv when he fires here Thinking bout it after the hand does villain ever 3X barrell here OOP hands as weak as one pair

Preflop- Would have 3-bet but can understand why you called here.
Flop- Worst case he has KK or AA but you have the Ace kicker, and this could well be a conti-bluff following your pre-flop call. 3-bet for protection
Turn- As played, would call here, you have plenty of outs.
River- Fold, even with high-kicker King pair think his bet implies he's hit the straight here.

to be honest i was not to worried about straight, i guess i just didnt think he would bet flop and turn with that kind of hand, i was thinking sets could slow play on a fairly dry flop maybe planning to C/R or even smooth call. Im still not sure what i should have done on the river and regarding AA KK i had blockers for both. having said that, would it seem to you that bet on riv stinks of sets, AK also and pure bluffs so i dont really beat much.

Preflop pretty much depends on his fold to 3bet.

      Postflop looks good.
I don't think he is going to bet worse hands on the river and at the very best scenario we split.
