      PokerStars - $0.25 NL - Holdem - 9 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      CO: 43.04 BB (VPIP: 31.03, PFR: 10.34, 3Bet Preflop: 11.11, Hands: 30)
      Hero (BTN): 37.04 BB
      SB: 29 BB (VPIP: 30.77, PFR: 19.23, 3Bet Preflop: 10.00, Hands: 53)
      BB: 68.04 BB (VPIP: 15.45, PFR: 15.05, 3Bet Preflop: 9.33, Hands: 473)
      UTG: 101.16 BB (VPIP: 26.67, PFR: 10.00, 3Bet Preflop: 16.67, Hands: 30)
      UTG+1: 201.08 BB (VPIP: 17.33, PFR: 13.55, 3Bet Preflop: 4.31, Hands: 1,017)
      UTG+2: 97.2 BB (VPIP: 15.48, PFR: 9.52, 3Bet Preflop: 4.00, Hands: 85)
      MP: 100 BB (VPIP: 11.92, PFR: 10.26, 3Bet Preflop: 4.08, Hands: 306)
      MP+1: 27.68 BB (VPIP: 21.88, PFR: 17.19, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 133)

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 9:diamond: 9:club:

fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, SB calls 2.6 BB, fold

      Flop: (7 BB, 2 players) 3:spade: 5:diamond: 2:diamond:
SB checks, Hero bets 5 BB, SB calls 5 BB

      Turn: (17 BB, 2 players) J:club:
SB checks, Hero bets 21 BB, fold

At this point I'm not sure if I should check behind or protect my hand. I decided for the all in because we would be pot committed anyway, and this way I would have maximum protection. However, I guess this turns my hand into a bluff, since he will not call with worse. What's the move you advise me to make here?

      Hi mrbeast87,

      Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: You are playing short versus another short player so I think you played the hand fine.

In the future, if you do play a midstack game you can post these hands in the midstack forums :)
