Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q:spade: Q:heart:

fold, UTG+1 raises to 3.5 BB, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 11 BB, fold, fold, fold, UTG+1 calls 7.5 BB

      Flop: (23.5 BB, 2 players) 6:heart: 9:club: T:heart:
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets 17.6 BB, UTG+1 calls 17.6 BB

      Turn: (58.7 BB, 2 players) A:club:
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets 32.3 BB, fold

      Hero wins 55.8 BB

I mainly bet again with the purpose of protection against draws but I realized when analyzing that often he has an Ace in his range.
Am I right, and what it's best to do in this situation?

      Thanks

      Hi DNYiancu,

Preflop: looks fine given he is fishier

Postflop: PRotection is not a reason for betting. Protection is a byproduct of different reasons. For example you bet for VALUE versus draws and also gain protection from them.

What draws can he have from UTG in a 3-bet pot when you block the Qh? HE either has them with Ah or not at all.

So the turn is a thin valuebet versus Tx and JJ and maybe KJs.
