Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

      BTN: $88.34 (176.7 bb)
      SB: $58.15 (116.3 bb)
      BB: $82.16 (164.3 bb)
      UTG: $249.62 (499.2 bb)
      MP: $78.59 (157.2 bb)
      Hero (CO): $144.27 (288.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K A
2 folds, Hero raises to $1.25, BTN calls $1.25, 2 folds

      Flop: ($3.25) 8 K 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.15, BTN raises to $5.92, Hero calls $3.77

      Turn: ($15.09) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $11.67, Hero calls $11.67

      River: ($38.43) 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $24.22, Hero calls $24.22

BTN unknown reg, 17/13 after 25 hands

Is it OK to calldown here? It's one of the strongest hands in my bet/call-call-call range, he is unknown, and we are deep.
Turncard is great for me, so easy call.
River is not the best one, but only 65s/JT got there, so I think for the price given it's still a call.

      Hi

Looks fine to me. You don't have A which certainly helps in calling down. I guess it sucks that he's 17/13 but sample is way too small so calling down is fine. would fold if he were 17/13 over 500 hands cos those nit fests don't ever 3-barrel bluff.

      Thanks.

Yeah, I was in hope&pray mode before the river, because I didnt want to see him firing... :) When he did, I tanked for a long time, but came up with the same, that it's not proven he's a nit, plus we are deep, where ranges could be wider, and there is more room for bluffs, so I should stick to GTO.
