      Hi G,

      I like your flop raise. Turn check should be OK. You can also bet for thin value and get a free showdown more often but check is still fine with the intention of calling most rivers. This specific river + bet size is interesting because there's still a possibility to raise for value but given that one of the draws he can lead got there and that hands like TT always have a hard time calling you can say just flat is fine.

      Does he bet fold 8x, TT, JJ, Qx, flushdraws, gutshots? Usually not so his range is more than 2pair so we are value raising. As a consequence of our raise, we ofc also protect from flushdraws but that is not the main reason. Try to think in value or bluff bet mostly and then expand to other reasons. It's best to start with basics. Protection confuses beginners to make incredibily bad bets and raises.
