Raped by a donkey.

This is precisely as painful as it sounds.

The battlefield here is a 50+10 i-poker full ring SNG. [That's CENTS not $ before you all get too excited. ]

Starting blinds are 10/20 and a full table.

A bold soldier in early-mid open- limps. It is folded round to me in late-mid, where I sit looking at AQ :club: . Naturally, because I am so well-trained, :D I stick in the PS-approved raise to 100.

      The button flats me.

Holy Cow!!! What manner of monster cards could he have????????.
The blinds fold. The bold open-limper folds.

It's just Flattie and me to see the flop. This comes down AQ :diamond: and 3 :club: .
OK, here there is a game decision. I ask the community and the coaches: Did I do the right thing?

My decision was to check. Why? I had two top pairs on the flop, and I reasoned that I wanted to induce a bet or a shove from the BU. I am ahead of every starting hand except QQ , AA and 33. I reasoned that AA was unlikely, else I would have been given a 4-bet preflop.

The other decision would have been to bet out strong, to take the pot immediately and to protect against a possible :diamond: flush draw.

Anyway, I checked and Flattie duly shoves. I call.

To my astonishment, Flattie had called my raise with 7 :spade: and 10 :diamond: !!!

There could be only ONE POSSIBLE REWARD for such craziness!!!

Yup! By the river, two more diamonds have fallen : Flattie doubles up, and I am eliminated.

I have been tillting off my BR for days since ..... :f_frown:

Nothing we can do if site helped the donkey. But spewing more money because of this is worse than a bad beat.

Regarding the hand, I think its better to bet flop, and hope villain calls with worse. If we want to induce, then turn is the best spot for it... we check and then 3bet. We need to bet flop because we want to steal on that board too if we don't have it. Also, if you check flop and then villain finds out on later street that you are not folding against his aggression, he will likely smell a slowplay. (Though this player is not good enough to even notice it)

BTW, the laugh is not for the bad beat but for the way you wrote the hand. :D
