different opening sizes?

      i play at partypoker nl25 and nl50 i can see that a lot of the players have different opening sizes from all positions. But have no clue about what i means as far as i can see they have both strong and weak hands in the different sizings.
      the first thought would be that big means strong but i cant find any prove of it.
      if its random why would they do so.

      any ideas maybe someone else that play on partypoker

      usually small size = wider range, large size = stronger range.

      in late positions, ranges are usually wider so it makes sense to open smaller

      of course anyone decent would open one size with his entire range from a particular position.
