      #2013-023

This thread will be about the Master Classics of Poker in The Netherlands:
      MCOP link

It is the biggest Dutch live Poker Event in wich I would like to play 2 Events:

      vr 15 november 2013 14:00 MCOP - Texas Hold'em NL Bounty (€200) €800 €80

      do 14 november 2013 14:00 MCOP - Texas Hold'em NL Speed €500 €50

I have some winnings in live events, mostly from smaller field MTT's. I have attended PKR goes Dutch (private community event) in wich I won the first edition of the Bounty tournament (80 entries) and got 3rd in the PLO event.
After that I went on and get a couple of final tables in later editions.
I have also played other Holland Casino €50 and €100 tournaments of wich I won 3 out of 15 and cashed twice more.

I expect the field to have a maximum of 200 players in both tournaments.

If this package won't sell for the whole amount, the bounty has priority.
If I manage to end in profit, expenses of travel and accomodation roughly €150 total will be deducted from the prize money.

Profit split will be 70-30 in your favor (post taxes)

      1% = €14.30
      5% = €71.50
      10% = €143

I havent mentioned any markup, nor will I sell it with markup, so how did you get that number. (You must have seen only 1 tournament I guess)
Both tournaments together will cost €1430!

@ragney, I wasnt sure about that number, thats why I did not post it yet. I thought it would be 25%. If you say its 29, than that is the case. The tax will only be payed if winnings exceed a certain amount though, and again I am unsre if they will count it as a win when you min cash one event and bust the other. Will you still pay tax over that one event or will they even out.

OK, technically u have markup when u r in profit, coz u wanna split the winnings 70/30...So am sorry, there s no MU if u simply dont cash...but if u cash, winnings will be lowered by about 150 for expenses, 29% tax and another 42,8% of your markup...
Am just sayin my points, I like to stake, but this is just startin to have low reward...

First you have to ask if company that hosts the event if its tax free. If not yeah if you exceed something like €500 orso you "technically" have to pay tax but the government usually won't bother with such small money.
