So I was thinking about starting my own blog for quite some time to keep me motivated and to improve my game. The November marathon seems a perfect opportunity to start so here it goes.

      :spade: ABOUT ME :spade:

I'm a 22 year old Slovenian. I finished 3 years of med school but now I have decided to drop out. The reason for it is that I had a few issues with my health in the last few years. Due to an illness I recived a lung transplantation 4 months ago. And now I have to stay home for a year so that my body gets used to my new imune system that has been weakened to prevent my new lungs from being rejected by my body. I had a lot of physiotherapy in this time so now I'm allready in great shape and I feel great. Much better then before.

In October 2014 I will be going back to the university but I will probablly study economics from now on, since it would be a bit risky if I stayed in the field of medicine since it's not good for me to be in conntact with people that are sick.

I like poker a lot it's a really fun game but I couldn't play much in the last 3 years since medicine really took up most of my time. So this year is perfect for poker and who knows maybe it could even turn out to be a start of a new carrer.

When I was in the hospital I couldn't stand up for 14 days due to some complications so my muscles atrophied and I lost 10 kg of body weight. I'm 183 cm high and now I only have 54 kg so I also need to gain my body weight back. I started eating healty and rich foods and I also bought myself my own fitness. I train about 70 minutes every day. I do have a very fast metabolism so I always had problems with gaining weight but I really need to get bigger now. :)

      MY POKER CARRER

I started playing poker 5 years ago. Soon I discovered poker strategy and have read some articles here and started crushing NL25 4 years ago. I was doing just fine but then I decided to stop and focus on my studyes. Last year I decided to switch to SNGs. At first I played DONs and I had an hourly of 10€/h. Then I decided to learn how to play normal SNGs since I think the DONs will die out soon. Currently I'm playing 11$ 6 max SNGs on Party. I play 6 tables at a time and my nick is zuti1000.

I spent a lot of time studying NASH ranges for almost all spots and I have allready watched all the video of 6 max here on Poker strategy. About 3 weeks ago I read Collin Moshmans Sit 'n go strategy and it really helped me improve my game.

Here are a few spots I found difficult to play:

The turn is really the worst card ever so I decided to check and hope for a cheap showdown.

I did have an edge against these opponents. So I decided to fold the TPWK and wait for a better oppurtunity.

So I'm off to a great start. Today I played 45 SNGs so 50% more then the target. I really stayed focused for the whole 4,5h and have made a profit of 130.56€

You can see the graph here:

I also did my training and I ate a lot. Slowly my appetite is returning and I can eat a bit more every day. So overall it was a great day. :)

I will post some hands tomorrow.

As promised here are some interesting hands from yesterday. Fell free to comment my play and way of thinking.

I think I get good odds on the river. I don't belive I'm ahead here so I probablly wouldn't call a 1/2 pot river bet.

      partypoker - $11+$0|50/100 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players

      Hero wins 8.5 BB
      BTN wins 8.5 BB

Normaly this would be a snap call. The reason that I folded was becaue his PFR was 0 even though I had a small sample. I think this kind of fish will usually have me dominated here.

I decided for a check raise on the flop. His all in confused me a bit and afte a few moments I decided a call is a must since the push looks even weaker then a raise. He can have a lot of draws, lower pairs and lower pocket pairs.

      BTN wins 26.1 BB

On the flop I'm pretty confident that I'm ahead. I just call so that I don't push out the SB with a weaker hand. Then of course an A comes on the flop and I hope for a cheap showdown . On the river I get 3-1 odds and I think I can call profitablly since he could have a J or a missed draw or something. I was shocked when he showed a set. :s_confused:

Thanks unris I'm looking forward to your comments.

I had to undergo the surgery because I had idopatic pulmonary hypertension. The blood vessals in my lungs were becomeing thicker with time. Because of that my blood preassure in the lungs was rising and my right heart had to work against a higher resistance and it can keep up only to some point. I did live one could say a normal life but I couldn't do anything that would strain my body too much, like walk really fast or climb a lot of staris at once. But now with the new lungs I'm able to do everything once again :]

Hy Steve, no problem at all.

I use Gadwin print screen to make the print screen. You can download it for free.

Once the print screen is made and saved to my computer I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager to crop the pic to the size that I want.

Then I use http://imgur.com/ to upload the pic.

      Hope that helped.

Thanks, sadly that was not the case. I had one of my worst days today. I lost -119.30€. I was quite unlucky in a few spots plus I didn't play my A game.

      Here's the graph:

Tomorow I won't have much time to play. I will work on my NASH ranges. I'm also thinking about playing only 5 tables instead of 6 to concentrate more.

Today I had my doctors appointment so I didn't have much time for poker.

I was still able to play 33 tables. I did only 5 table at once. I started pushing more against the BB from the SB because I know that's one of my leaks. At first it was a bit frustraiting since my 46s, 98o and Q7o all ran into QQ. I kept playing aggressive and at the end it paid off. I made a profit of 60.05€
      Her's the graph:

I also started reading Moshmans Heads up book.

Tomorow I will go through my database and analize every situation where I made a play against the BB from SB with an ES of less then 15BB. I will try to figure out what are the calling ranges of different types of opponents and how much should I be pushing against whome. I allready have the filtres set up in PT so that I really force myself to do it. :s_cool:

I understand how you feel in the SB with the likes of 97o etc. It is hard to shove them and when you do see QQ you feel like the biggest idiot in the world but it's the right way to play and the right plays will be rewarded :)

Hope the Doctor's appointement went well :)

It went well thanks for asking.

So today I spent hours analyzing blind play and it really paid off. I finsihed the day with a 109.62€ profit. I also played an MTT today and I lost 30.43€ so my total profit for the day is 79.19€

Here's the graph fot the SNGs:

Tomorow I will continue to read Moshmans book.

I played one 11$ rebuy on poker. I made 2 rebuys and bought the add on. My three of a kind was beaten by a better three of a kind. My AKo lost to TT pre and a fish kicked me out when his A2o hit the flush on the river against my JJ. It was all over in 70 minutes :D
