I only have 20 hands from villan, he is 40VPIP player...

      Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from

      saw flop | saw showdown

      MP ($2.85)
      Button ($7.45)
      Hero (SB) ($9.75)
      BB ($22.70)
      UTG ($4.95)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, A
UTG calls $0.10, 1 fold, Button raises to $0.20, Hero raises to $0.80, 1 fold, UTG calls $0.70, Button calls $0.60

      Flop: ($2.50) 8, 10, 8 (3 players)
Hero bets $1, 1 fold, Button calls $1

      Turn: ($4.50) 2 (2 players)
      Hero checks, Button checks

      River: ($4.50) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, Button raises to $4, Hero calls $2

      Total pot: $12.50 | Rake: $1

      Results in white below:
Button had 8, 9 (three of a kind, eights).
Hero had A, A (two pair, Aces and eights).
      Outcome: Button won $11.50

Obv. I made a mistake raising river, but is it better to check/call river, or check/fold?

I also only have like 25 hands from villan, but he is a 45 VPIP with 60WTS and 7PFR, basicly a calling station

Should I make bigger bets on flop and turn, and check call river or check fold river?

      2nd hand:

Yes, your betsizes are too small imo. You are giving too good odds for draws, that might call you (Straight and Flush). So, you must protect better.
On flop i bet ~0.9$ on turn ~2$.

      1st hand:

Same as in the 2nd hand. Bet more on the flop. If he raises you, you might consider 3betting, cause what hand would he raise/call preflop with an eight? I only see 88-QQ, AK. (His play with 89o is just bad) and against this range you are far ahead. He'd reraise often another PP, like JJ,QQ.
On the turn a 2nd barrell might be ok, since you get a redraw to the nutflush. I'd prefer bet/shove there to check/call but I think both lines are good there.
As played I play c/c river, because only better hands will call you there.
No way playing c/f on the river, imo.

Bet 1.50$-2.20$ on the flop. Then after this guy(idiot; no full stack) push the turn if the card is good/neutral.
Bet 0.70$-1.00$ on the flop. Then bet 70-80% pot bet on the turn. That played it`s a call on the river.

pls post just 1 hand / thread

      hand 1
raise it more preflop (at least 1.1)
bet more on the flop (2.1 seems better)
on the turn i like check calling when opponent is aggresive and likely to float , otherwise i am bet folding the turn .
its ok to bet river after he checks turn
you have to call his small raise given the odds
