      0,25/0,5 No-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.60 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BU with 7:heart: , A:club:
      7 folds, Hero raises to $8,50 (All-In)

8.5/0.5 = 17 BigBlinds. I had looked at the 15BB - Modified Range area which says that A7o is a minimum thus a Push.
Also I doubted whether this was a push worthy or a stealraise so I pushed according to the gold article.

      Any thoughts?

i just believe the numbers you give

but you should look in the chart for 20BB (always take the bigger nummer for precaution :) )

If it is a SC push with that stack also....nh

I wouldn't stick to this chart very often, especially with 17BB stack)
variance will be insane) use it with reduced stack <15BB and with a safety margin
the best position to open push is SB)
from button stealraise is more profitable, imo

I agree. <15BB is pretty 'safe' and +EV with the Sklansky chart.

However what if I have KK with a <15BB on CO/BTN/SB, should I openShove as well to cover my betting pattern?

I openshove against Loose Blinds who do not fold their BB too often (around 60%)

Xylere, with a 3bb stealraise on BTN, you would be pot committed on the Flop if you have <15BB? Wouldnt an openshove be a better solution? So I openshove with both KK and A5 according to the Sklansky chart.

if you have AA you should not openshove! raise your good hands normally.
Your opponent can not exploit your shoves, thats the good thing about sklansky pushes, so you do not have to balance them.

With a 3bb steal you are not committed.
Shoving with KK is really bad because you lose a lot of value.
sklansky pushes are not such a great tool, only use them in special situations (weak, but +EV hands against very lose opponents).

Normally, you should just steal 3bb.

I have read through the Deutscher Threads about Sklansky

I only openshove according to Sklansky against 1) CallingStations (loose/passive) and 2) LAG/A opponents.

Doing so its +EV right Ingol?

Ok thanks for pointing out that I dont have to balance it, would be a disaster to openshove Aces..

What if I have <15BB with for example T9s (Suited Connector) or KJo (BroadwayOneGapper)
And I stealraise 3bb BTN and my remaining stack is 9BB.

Villain on the BB who normally folds 80% of his BB, reraises accordingly to 12BB.

      Equity I need is:
      15:9
      = 37.5%

Should I push this with the mentioned hands or should I fold and slink my stack even further?

you already mentioned the equity you need

now take the equilator, enter your hand and look what range the opponent has to push to make you call profitable :)

This is the part where judgement and experience comes in.

Btw: i always rebuy when i am below 15bb, if your stack is just 12 bb you can really consider openpushing....i would recommend to rebuy, especially on the lower stakes up to nl400, because the rake is too high to make this ultrashortstacking really profitable.
