Opponent seemed fishy from the notes I have on him from the sessions so far, usually after he hit OOP he loved to make C/R river. I put him on a straight or flush draw on the turn. Should I have bet river?

I like to raise flop, since your hand is not that strong that you could slowplay and opponent would call with worse hands and on that board I don´t mind playing stacks against middlestack.
River: I expect that villain would lead out with two pair or better, so I´d make half potsize valuebet to get called for weaker one pair hand.

      thats a very thin read))

to have a str8 or fd he had to donk flop with 45, 89 or backdoor flush)
in reality his range is way way wider, so you can't put him on a draw here

against a fishy midstack raise 3$ on flop, bet river and shove turn, imo
