      Hand #1 well played.

Hand #2 right idea, wrong time to fire guns. Push flop as you have 3:1 pot odds and 3:1 hand odds plus some FE with such an ugly board.

      As played...
2 chum in the pool with you, both have shown nothing but weakness from the first limper. When you check the flop a player holding an 8 or mid PP must bet for protection. Smaller pairs, draws, rags and monsters probably check. The turn is the perfect card for you (other than K or Q). Nobody has an 8, nobody improved (maybe a draw opened up) You still have some FE and an immediate push gives any draw bad odds to call. So you made the correct move, IMO, I would have fired the bet on the flop. On the turn you still have 3:1 pot odds, however, your hand odds went up to 7:1

      In review...
      All-in flop = break even poker, +FE
      All-in turn = losing poker, bluff/gamble
