      Hi justkyle88,

first of all: the VPIP doesn't really tell you much about a guys PFR (preflop raise). So if he raises you need to know his PFR.
let's say that guy has an PFR of 10%.
So if he raises UTG you can give him a range of about 6-7%.
So if you open the equilator and enter a range of 0-7% you'll see that it's 77+, AK, AJs+. Well I personally would adjust it a little bit. kick out 77 and 88 but add AQo which would make it: 99+, AQ+, AJs+
in Middle position you can give him a range of 10%.
      Again I would adjust it a little... to let's say 77+, AT+, A9s, KQ
in late you can give him a range of about 15%
      I would say: 22+, A9+, A8s, KT+, QJs (that would be 18%)

But of course it depends on the opponent and on the number of players at the table. I don't now if my ranges are good or not but I hope it helped you :)

      Best regards,
      Chiller3k

C:\DOCUME~1\OWNER~1.KYL\LOCALS~1\Temp\Equilator_1_1.zip could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.

Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location

I'm getting this error message when I try download, :(

      Thanks Chiller3k

You could also use Pokerstove if Equilator doesn't work, it's the same basically.

hm I never saw that error message before but sounds to me like you don't have enough rights to change the content of the Temp folder (which is pretty odd tbh )
Are you able to download other stuff? Or is it just the Equilator that makes trouble?

      Best regards,

I'm a little bit confused. Where did you get the file from?
When I download the installation file for the equilator it's an exe file not a zip.
This is the link I used:
      http://static.pokerstrategy.com/software/6/download/setup_equilator.exe

      Best regards,

justkyle88, it's not 14 raises, it's %, it's all about %. VPIP in how many hands does villain participate, for example VPIP of 50% shows that he plays half of the hends. PFR or pre-flop raise % is the portion of the hands he raises, for example VPIP 50% and PFR 25% would mean that he plays half of the hands and raises only quarter of them. There is a programs like pokertracker, elephant, which show player's statistics right on the table, it shows VPIP, PFR and any other statistic you like, so when you see villain raising you look at his PFR statistic and see his PFR for example is 14% , so you put him on 14% of all top hands, but usually players raise less hands out of position and more in position, and PFR is just mean which is equal handsraised/handsdealt. The 14% of hands would look like he is raising any pair(22+), AJo, AQo, AKo(o means offsuit, these hands are AJo+), then ATs+, KQso, KJso, QJso, JTso(so means both suited and offsuit).

      Yeah i understand that Solomaextra.
My question was more towards putting someone on a hand.
More of an in depth explanation.
      Thankyou though.
      Much appreciated .
