      :f_thumbsup: Hello Everyone!!!

My name is ae_ntax, i am 32 years old and I study BT.I like to play and watch football very much, i also spend much time with my guitar(I am not a great player, but i enjoy playing).

Some info about my Poker career
I play poker the last 3 years.I am a micro limit player and i played NL Holdem until November!!! I have played almost all the formats of NL(Cash,SNG,MTT),but i was a losing normal losing player :f_biggrin: ,until last year!!!!
Last year i started playing only MTTs, with a nice Bankroll Management and i started winning some money -not very much, but enough to make me fall in love with the game again :f_love: !- but because of my studies(lack of time) i couldn't play MTTs any more :f_cry:
I stop playing poker for a while, cause i didn't really enjoy cash NL or Sngs.
Before one Month i start playing PLO and I started enjoying Playing Poker again!!!
So I deside to play PLO.
I found an ebook "PLO from the Scratch" and I start reading it, I found it really great so here I am now!!!

      Some info for my Blog
First of all,I would like to tell you that this is the 1st time i write a blog and also english is not my native language,so excuse me for any mistakes.
I will start playing PLO with a 100$ bankroll at PLO5(40 BI) and the target is to reach a 7000$ bankroll and take a shot 200PLO.

The main bankroll management module will be: start with 40 BI at a limit reach 50 BI + 10BI from the next limit and then take a 10BI shot to move up.
For more info you can read the great article "PLO from the Scratch"(I really liked it :f_biggrin: )
My main goal is not just to reach a 7000$ bankroll, but to learn playing solid PLO.
So, in this Blog,i will write what i will study(videos, articles, books), I will post some hands, I would like to discuss strategies,of course i will post my progress. Also, I would be very happy if you could help me with your suggestions and corrections to be a better player and reach my goals :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup:
I will start playing 100min. sessions + 30min. session review or 30min. study(videos, articles) for each session for 5 or 6 days a week.
This will be the plan until the end of February where my exam period in the University ends and I add some volume(hours) to poker.
Also, i would like to use an 80/20 plan to my playing/reading time, like leatherass advice in his book.
Also I would like to watch "PLO training" from Skodljivec, that take place
every Thursday.I will try to refresh my blog everytime i have enough time,
      at least 1 or 2 a week.

      My short-term goals

My short-term goals until the end of February are:
      1. Play 5 days per week(100min session+30min study) [-] (I did't play much,lack of time)
2.Take the shot to 10PLO (reach a 350$ bankroll 50BI in PLO5+10 BI in PLO10)[-](as a result of the above)
3.Read the "PLO from the Scratch" ebook until chapter 9(I am reading part 6 at the moment)[+](I read all the book,I started re-reading that slowly)
4.Watch as many videos as I can from "Skodljivec's School of PLO"[+](I finished the series)
5.Join in Thursday's PLO training[+](I joined in almost all the PLO coachings)

      My Goals for March are:
1.Play about 2-3 per day,5 days a week, plus a session review after very session.
2.Be ready to take a Shot at PLO25
3.Watch 4 videos from the Trouble Spot series, 1 every week preferably and try to evolve my game.
4.Join most of the Thursdays coachings
5.Watch some Schnitzelfisch videos and try to apply them, also, start reading slowly the "Skyrocketing Guide".

      My long-term goals
      1.Learn nice and solid PLO
2.Reach my bankroll goal and become a high stake player
3.Keep having fun when playing Poker!!!

      Well, that's all for now(i know that i said enough :f_biggrin: )
      Next step start playing!!!

      Update 19/02/2014
I didn't played more than 5 days in February cause i didn't had any time at all, because of my exams. Finally i am done with my exams,so now i have a lot of free time to play poker! :f_biggrin:
I decided that i will make some small changes to my "plan".
First of all, I will restart my trip from 100$->7000$ and not from 200$,
that is because i had to buy the HM2 and i think that i should spend only poker money for poker "things".I also will spend a part of that money to buy a silver pokerstrategy subscription for the next months, cause my Pkstrs account in not tracked, also I live in Greece as i said and i can play only on 2-3 poker sites from Pkrstrategy. So when i make an account there i would like to take advantage of the full bonus!
      I had about 250$ and i cashout the 150$.
Also rakeback/cash bonus will take place in this "tour"!As i think, I should escape from micros the quickier possible.

So here we start, again! :f_p:

      Shots

      PLO5==>PLO10 8/3/2014
      Starting Bankroll:100
      Net Won:206.07
      Bonus/Rakeback:45
      Total:351.07

Unfotunately I don't have a gragh cause my PC crushed some days before I reach the 350$ target. As I think I played about 35k-40k hands to reach the target.

      Hey aent4x,

      Welcome to the blogs. :)

We are getting so many new bloggers who are PLO players and / or guys looking to improve their English language skills.

I think Skod is walking around with a big smile atm because he has all these new friends. :f_biggrin:

I also like the fact that you haven't put time conditions on your targets. I see so many people destroy themselves because they fall behind in their targets and start chasing.

It's also awesome that one of your goals is to keep enjoying poker and have fun.

      Good Luck and Happy Grinding

      GL!

As far as I understand the Greek tax situation :f_cry: , you'll have to switch to iPoker / MPN (that don't obey the Greek authorities) after moving up to PLO20, maybe I'll meet you there (or very occasionally at Stars ante tables, but mind that iPoker now also has them, though 100 bb only :f_mad: ). Or are you there already?

What's your speciality in math? Mine was real analysis. I regret a bit that I didn't choose actuary math or the probability theory at the time (though I could do so as a straight-A student) as I have to learn risk management now anyway for poker purposes (discrete probability was studied back at high school).

@Lazza61: I've told the 2+2 SSPLO forum about Pimp My Hand, and they're beasts at giffing hands, so maybe there will be an even bigger inflow of PLOggers soon :f_biggrin:

      A-a-and I understand it poorly because I didn't know about Taxes Hold'em :f_biggrin: :f_thumbsup:

Another recruitment drive of microstake regs to euro networks has failed :f_biggrin:

I know that I should switch to iPoker/MPN, as for the solution about Taxes Holdem, I don't know if i works, but when i reach PLO20 i will search better about that.
Also i will move to iPoker after February, cause at the moment as i said, I don't have enough time, so i won't be able to claim full the First Deposit Bonus.
Also on PLO20 my bankroll will be bigger,so bigger the FD Bonus! :f_biggrin:

Yeah like CPallo said, variance can be huge in plo. You can easily, and i mean easily loose 10bi and still play very good poker. Like even if i went to play on plo10 it's totally possible i'd hit a 15+bi dowsnwing for example. So you have to be patient.

      It's a marathon, not a sprint ;)

      One quick update!

I reach the 5k hands, and here are the results:

Yesterday I had a big downswing, but hopefully today I runned really good so
I have my starting Bankroll! :f_biggrin:
The bad news is that I am about 45$ below my EV line, thats is 9BI :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry: . I think I was a bit unlucky, but that's the game!
The good news is that I am about 45$ below my EV line :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin: so i didn't play as bad as my results look like and I am waiting the green line to go UP.
I also watched yesterday Skodljivec's coaching, this was my first time i took place in a live session. It really worth the time, even the time to fix the sound problem :f_biggrin: I hope to have time to join the next week again.

Variance is being pretty harsh with you, but the good news are that after every fall there should be a rise, so be sure to play your A game when it comes so you can boost profits 150% :)

I think i will play one more session for today.
Also i decide that the "rakeback" will participate in this "project".I know that in the "PLO from the Scratch" doesn't say anything about that, but i think that you should move up from the microstakes as soon as possible, cause the rake here is a bad.
I would be interested to hear your opinions about that.
