Hello, I've just started playing NL BSS and while I am aware that TPTK is a medium made hand, I'm curious if going all-in in this case was the correct play.

      hi
since he isnt full stacked and donks do this with a wide range ( mostly draws and weaker holdings then tptk) i like your line but i would make the reraise just 3.9 in order he might shove as a bluff hoping he has some fold equity

Fear the minraise! It usually indicates big strength. I would prob need some info/stats on this guy before going all in with TPTK which is why I watch all hands closely while waiting for the BB to get to me.
Against unknown I prob do what srohack said but you can lose big sometimes.

Thanks for your help. He had K8 so everything turned out fine.

I am curious how you came up with the figure of 3.90 as I was a bit unsure how high to bet.

      Thanks

Im curious how he got 3.9 too.

Is it 3 x 1.40 = 4.20 (but reduced to 3.90 so it looks smaller)?

Right, after I won the hand I started to think about how I had played it. During the hand, I had felt quite confident, but later I was rather unsure if I'd play it the same way again.
