Hey everyone, hope y'all doing well!
I recently just got back into poker, and deposited 640$ to play NL25. I did HORRIBLY, (i didn't run horribly, as much as i hate to say it, i played horribly - _ -) and basically ran my BR into the ground (and by ground i mean 250$).

So basically this was a wakeup call, i want to get serious about poker now as i haven't fully committed before - but now im in - ALL IN (+1 for cheese? :f_biggrin: ).

      SO
After talking to an awesome guy who goes by the name of Cpallo, he recommended me to drop down to NL10 and grind out 100k hands.
So yeah, you guessed it, my new challenge is to play 100k hands on NL10 FR Zoom, see how i do, then decide if i can move back up to NL25.

      PROGRESS SO FAR

      Wish me luck ! :f_biggrin:

      Hey DecMate,

GL and I hope you're rolled for NL25 before the 100k hands are over.

      Cheers

      Bravo sir,
      rooting for ya.

You won some quotes to spur you on -

'Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.'
      John Quincy Adams

'Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did.'
      Newt Gingrich

This may at first appear to be a bit of a troll but its meant genuinely as I'm at a similar place but SH.

      Hi,

I think that ImpasX shouldn't call him a donk. He is a recreational player that makes some mistakes in both mathematics and in his/her game. All in all, he didn't even donk that flop, he just called. Think about the profits you will made versus a player like him in the long-run :f_love:

As played, I'm not too happy to shove this flop, I think you could bet like 5d and jam turn. Though I don't mind this play either, but it doesn't leave any room for him to make mistakes post-flop..

Though the call was a big mistake for him :f_confused:

Best of luck with your games :D !

Yeah, 6 max ZOOM though my first 10k hands were pretty rough so I have been playing some 6max regular tables too that are a billion times softer and it is hopefully going to assist a smoother transition from NL5.
Early days though, not a ton of volume yet.

Just thought i'd post some more progress.
I'm coming to the 50k hand mark pretty soon, and i am break-even now! if not even a bit in profit.

I'm still running absolutely horribly under EV (about 12 BI's!) But since reconsidering my mental attitude to poker, and seriously playing for the long run, this no longer has any psychological impact.

Heck, this hand didn't even irritate me. And it's some serious BS!

      Hey there, GL!

You said you are BE, but on your graph you won some stacks, and it seems you are upswinging which is very nice.
I also played this limit last year and made some profit, I would be courious what stats are you playing?

      Hey JJ!
I (THINK) i'm playing around 18/16ish, sometimes looser, with a 8-10% 3bet too. I drastically changed my playing style after experimenting, for the first 30-40k hands or so i was playing a 10/8 style with 3-5% 3bet. I think the less experience you have the tighter you should play, but in zoom poker playing tight is just throwing value away and not to mention, playing looser you get more rakeback and unlock bonuses quicker, as well as playing with fish in more pots.

      UPDATE
      ______________

I recently had some troubles with my computer, and i've actually gone and lost the first 50k hands that i've played. So there will be no graph of 100k hands, but i posted it above so we'll be able to add the next graph onto that one (i know, it's annoying - _ -) and see where i end up!
It's been pretty frustrating because the stats on my opposition in zoom have no gone, so some players will have a huge sample size of hands on me and i wont have any on them.

So this puts me at a disadvantage, but, it's NL10 so i should be okay :D
I'm yet again hating my EV line, but the longrun is all that matters. I will post a graph again soon!

Dude, if u lost your hand history, just write to pokerstars support, and they will send you all the hands that you have played on pokerstars, from the beginning:) Import those hands to HEM or PT and that's it:)
