      Boring stuff

So first off a little about me , I'm 19 years old and live in Canada. Currently studying Software engineering but only part time ATM for personal reasons. Which leaves me a lot of time for poker.

      Poker stuff

Started playing seriously last summer at NL10 ran really good and moved up to NL20 on ipoker. Got crushed , moved back to stars NL10 and got W34z3l as a coach. In September I moved up back to NL25 then to NL50. In January i took some shots at NL100 ran and payed really well. This week was taking shots at NL200, at this point I realised how much work I had put in and that it was actually getting me somewhere.

      Sad stuff

Unfortunately had to cash out most of my BR to pay for school and for other personal reasons and I am left with 512$ and 0FPP WOOOOH!.

      THE GOAL

Quickly rebuild my bankroll so I can play NL100 again. I am going for 400k vpps this year, which i was on pace for with 47K already but now it doesn't look so good.

      500$-1000$ NL25

      1000$-3500$ NL50 (Drop down to NL25 at 750$)

      3500$-15k NL100(Drop down to NL50 at 3000$)

      Volume/motivation goals:

Play 100K hands a month at least. Without going into auto-pilot mode. It's really hard for me to play NL25 right now , I feel kind of depressed . So i decided to start this blog to keep me motivated.

      Blog Promises :D
      :s_cool:

Post 5 hands with an analysis a week. As well as a weekly and monthly graph . Everyone loves graphs right ! :s_cool:

I will aslso be interacting as much as possible with people following. See you at the tables :)

Played 3k hands down 4buy-ins . LOTS of bad beats .

NL25 regs are pretty horrible and are way too tight. Also are almost never in big pots with weak hands. I try to focus a lot more on the small pots and winning as many as possible.

      Good luck grinding !

      Hand 1. LOL
Hand 2. If I check flop here I call everything, it would be interesting to see what would happen if you made a CB
Hand 3. This is well known nuts line of weak passive nits.. They are just 'smooth' calling with nuts and then they are afraid that you could check back otr so they donk jam.. However, I also call them off haha.

haha not too sure about that, but it is v good playing against you as you put me in a lot of tough spots, I really messed up the JTT board where I turned my hand face up, but well done on owning me :f_cool:

Wasn't too sure about the TT hand.

But my thoughts are KK, AA for value, QQ=77 in that spot and I have you 3b about 25% from MP so with missed FD and you maybe barrelling overs I should be good 1 in 3.

At least it's about to be the weekend so am sure you'll grind back those 7bi's and more. Just remember most of us are nits and mostly weighted towards value!!

Your analysis is pretty much spot on! I'm only 3 betting 5%MPvsUTG. So it's probably a sample size thing :P .

But yea with my hand i think is a pretty clear triple barrel to balance my range(which doesnt matter at Nl25 :f_frown: ) . Honestly tho I think calling TT is a bit too wide there and I would probably only call down all 99,QQ . I think JJ is pretty close, i know there isn't really a difference betwwen TT and QQ in this case but i guess it just prevents you from calling down oo much or too little. I probably show up with AA and KK a lot as well as A2s( only 1 combo tho)

      Here's the hand for everyone:

Do you give up on the turn with A3s-A4s if you don't turn FD? Also I'm wondering what's the plan with A5s, dbl brl c/b?

I'm sure you know more about it than me but I think it's easy to end up with too many bluffs in a lot of spots, like if you barrel AQo KQo or something

Sample size thing for sure 5% still sounds a lot since KK+ is only 1% but like you said @NL25 prob doesn't matter, just pick your opponents and put the pressure on.

I would only barrel if I turn a flush draw and give up the rest and I would rather not say the exact hands I am 3 betting but I make sure that I am not barreling too much in these spots. Plus in this case I had an over+flushdraw+gutshot so thats usually around 33% equity vs your range . Therefore I will get there on the river pretty often.

With A5s i wouldn't bet flop, X/C river is interesting i'm not sure if UTG will ever bet enough worse hands for a x/c. I would probably X/C a combo or two of AA but would be vs specific opponents only

I wonder why mumimou (maby someone else) said that he is almost newer getting -10bi days at higher limits.
How that is possible if at NL25 you are not going to showdown with weaker holdings but at higher limits you do more often?
I want to play at NL100 and above too if that excludes those -10bi days. Would be a paradise.

Hey! Thanks for reading the blog. My downsing at Nl25 is also because i've played 6k hands today and frankly its the worst I've ran in awhile.

About higher limits I think 10-20 buy-in downsings are pretty standard since your edge is smaller and people are more aggresive. It is possible the mumimou has a stop loss limit per day, but i'm sure he will tell you he has been on at least a 10buy-in downswing.

In general I think the higher you move up the bigger the downsings because your edge will be significantly smaller. I only played about 2k hands at NL200 but at Nl100 it is definitely normal to +- 6/7 buy-in days

Could also be because at lower limits there are more fish and they are very unpredictable and one day they might just all suck out on you :f_grin:
