      Hi

My name is Abhishek Rathod, I am 28 years old from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

I have grown up playing and loving sports such as tennis, table tennis, and snooker.
I still play snooker almost everyday and just like poker put a lot of effort to improve my game

I studied of mechanical engineering in Pune, when my love affair with computer games started, and I was a regular at gaming cafes and LAN parties? I felt the dearth of a platform for games to be able to participate from all over the country, and this led to the birth of Vstreet my first company when I was in college. Today it is biggest online game server hosting company known as VS-gaming.com.

Eventually, I decided to make my own games, and founded KrazyMotion - a studio for game development and animated content located in Ahmedabad, India. It's a place of creativity, innovation, fun and learning. We released our first game called “ Alien Avenger “ on IOS and are due to release 3 more titles by end of this year.

Young students and professionals who are as passionate about gaming as I am can learn the craft and hone their skills at KrazyPixel, the educational arm of the studio. OR Gaming enthusiasts like myself can help realise their dreams at KrazyPixel, the educational arm of the studio.
It is my dream that one day Indian professionals will one day stand on the global map.

I also started another division called Vevento innovations which is mainly into providing web solutions and security ( Boring part :P )

Anyways coming to poker. I was introduced to poker like many others by Facebook and then our group of friends started playing live ultra micro stakes
A friend of mine introduced me to online poker I started with Betfred and 888 and a few random sites.
Somehow I always lost and cursed my luck. In the first couple of days I lost close to 300$ playing all sort of stakes.

Now I didn't wanna invest any more money into poker so I started searching for free poker money :P and came across Pokerstrategy and elected to take my bankroll on William hill.

The articles and videos on Pokerstrategy changed my understanding of poker completely. I was still a breakeven losing player for quite a while.
I took 2 coaching sessions for Cash and TurboMTTs which were really really helpful.

I gave up cash sometime ago and play it mainly for fun and on ipoker just to maintain my Gold status to attend UNAMs SNG coaching sessions.
He has been like a Godfather to me in poker.

I now mainly play the 3.50, 7$ STT on stars and sometimes 3.50 18/45 man sngs.
Dont wanna move up the limits until i am more confident at beating the 7$ sngs

I am not going to set any goals for now but will be regularly updating my blog with updates on my blog.
Hope to give you guys some good run results.

Thank you for taking time to reading my blog and hope that this blog continues to motivate me.

Current Bankroll - About 1700 but distributed amongst various sites
Main sites to play - Pokerstars, Poker770, WH.

      Regards,
      abhi147

      Hey abhi,

I was more interested in your Gaming development part. ;) Nice that you are doing so many things at the same time. I see there are lot of animation's movies and games are released and people are starting to recognize that particular field. I also see surge in lot of games are released compatible for iPhone. I wish you good luck for games you are coming out by end of year.

What's the time schedule for poker? How many hours / day you play?

Hope to see poker updates soon. :)

All the best man. Going to be following this blog. How often are you planning on updating the blog?

      about 400-500

This month has been a bit slow down about 50 or so
Was trying the 2.50 turbos and got royally screwed :P
Excluding that the ROI is quite good

Gonna put more volume from now on

      Nice graph buddy.

400 to 500 a month? That's some really good volume. How many tables do you play at a time?

      6-8
I usually try to play 12 sng sets

400-500 is like 15sngs/day which is quite quite low i think
I am easily capable of playing a lot more just dont get the motivation
Thats one main reason i started this blog hopefull will keep me motivated

Well hope this blog can help you with that.

There was this one tournament we were ITM 3 handed and there was a reg and a NIT
I was the chip lead and the reg had almost same chips as me
I was brutally abused by the nit for my calls/shoves rofl because i almost sucked him out when he was very shot
When the reg supported me he started abusing the reg as well and calling him also a fish
He told us he has marked both of us GREEN which = FISH :( :( :(

Will post 2 hands from that and i want an honest opinion whether i played it proper or not
After the 2nd hand J10 he wont stop spamming in the chat box and couple of hands later i shove BTN with JJ he calls J10 and loses
Now we are heads up and he is still abusing in the chat box
Me and the other reg could stop laughing :P

I think was getting proper odds here

Here are some hands i marked for review
These are basically the ones that I think i played badly
Would love to hear any comments/criticism you guys could have on these hands

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am clueless and speechless in this hand. Had no idea what he could have
He had a passive reg stats something like 20/4 or so
I couldve shoved here but that wouldve been for about 300-400 more chips vs the risk of getting knocked out + the pot was big enough to get a healthy stack. So i guess i decided to just call here.
Looks like a gift to me.

Very very nitty fold. I dont think i was ready to play for stacks so early on
He was a fish with 40/3 stats. Didnt wanna enter flips at this moment

Shoudlve 3bet pre or raised flop atleast.
But with a shorty behind i didnt want to take that risk.
This is probably the worst hand i played. Too nitty and too passive.
I showed an A and folded and he showed his hand
This is the same table with the NIT abusive thing. The shorty was the NIT.

I am no tournament or SNG player, will try and give my 2 cents.

Firstly don't post the results, it will be biased comments by users once they know the result.

First Hand: I hate those pussy donk bets, i would raise 90% of times for donks even though i haven't made hand, here i am definitely raising the flop. Recently good players use these donk bets to see cheap turn and river to hit there FLUSH, don't let him have it.

Raise size on turn is too small, you can go for may be POT size. River, i guess i would do same as you.

Second Hand: What would you do on a different river? like may be Q, K etc. I don't know how +EV is your TURN call, probably i would FOLD it on TURN.

Third Hand: That's pretty bad fold imo. You were in BTN, if you didn't wanted to go for stacks, how about just a call. Call would be +EV here, your (position, AKs) > (6x raise, FISH = wide range)

Fourth Hand: Difintely over played it.

Fifth Hand: Why are you check-folding here? BTN is wide range, you have what you wanted on flop. I think you are over-estimating villain's hand at few spots, yes we need to consider flush in there range, but that is just part of there huge opening range.

Sixth hand: Bet more on TURN, check-fold river.

EDIT: Pretty nice graph buddy. Nice win. :s_thumbsup:

hand 1 - raise turn bigger...ship the remaining on river..

hand 2- jamming or fold i guess..

hand 3 - oh yeah absolutely nitty nitty fold...and 5 x never never means QQ+ there...it means a small to medium pocket pair that he doesnt want to see a flop with...i am more than happy with raising/hetting it in pre..

hand 4- e1 i might have jammed there..but hey i am aggro maniac..

hand 5 - calling is not good here..thts a std jam IMO 3 handed...our aim is 1st place and not ITM..u can sometimes risk gtin bubbled if the reward is big double up and guarenteed 1st place..

hand 6 - as u said he is passive so isnt it true that he will only call with hands that beat u...river is a definite check fold...
