      Hello,

I have two hands today, though both are similar in that they involve high trips
and in that I ended up going all in.

      Flop: ($0.32) T:club: , J:club: , Q:heart: (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.20, UTG+2 raises to $0.58, 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.85 (All-In), UTG+2 raises to $1.73 (All-In), Hero gets uncalled bet back..

      hi
you didnt floped trips you floped a set in both hands
pls post just 1 hand / thread so you can get better feedback for your game

      hand 1 :

bet pot (or close to pot ) on the flop and call a shove

      hand 2 :

you can shove or you can check behind to give a free card with just a bet smaller then potsize left or you can take your line . is very likely that the money will go in with any line you take in a 4 beted pot :)

Right, sets, of course. What a bonehead.

So in both cases I played well enough? That's good to know because I was thinking of altering my play after those tragic results.

      Many thanks!

I believe trips are when you have one card in your hand and 2 on the board, for example, you have A 6 and flop has 3 6 6. And a set is when you have a pair in your hand and hit the 3rd card on the board...

I can be totally wrong though this is just conclusions Ive drawn after hearing people use the words :p

for the record so all of you dont mistake it again :)
trips is one card in the hand and two same cards on the board
set is a pocket pair in the hand and the same card on the board
