How often do you get hit by a 1 outer?

Don' t know why but this last week I have been playing about 2 hours a night and at least once a night I have been beaten by a one outer. I know that bad beats are more common online due to being able to play more hands, but surely this is not normal?

      Hi canbom,

It's just variance. You could go 3-4 months without seeing another one. It's annoying when they happen in a short period of time, but thats variance for you.

      Regards,
      Stiev

You do realise a gutshot is 4 outs right. Go read the Odds and Outs article I'd say :P

There are many situations in which only 1 out will help.

if you see one hit every 2nd-3rd session, this means you see someone with a one out draw, roughly 30-40 times in 2-3 sessions. Which means you must multitable a hell of alot, which in itself means you dont watch all the hands, which then means you must have some kind of telepathy thing going on in your head if you see them all.

I'm sorry but you do not see a 1 outer hit home every 2nd to 3rd session. You probably dont even see someone with a 1 out draw this often.

The fact that they only had 1 out after the turn when you are all in preflop is kind of irrelevant.

      Still a horrible beat though.
