      Hello,

Maybe I'm being nieve, but I can't find a thread anywhere discussing the upcoming ECOOP III and thought I would just one.

Main reason being is probably selfish, in that I just qualified via a Satellite into the M/E :D (How Happy Am I!!)

Anyone else from P/S into the ECOOP M/E or others?

Let us know guys and girls :D

Cheers, and have a good weekend !

      Trips.

Hi Trip, well played my friend, nice work.

All of the ECOOP Events are way over my BR, but I do still have 1x opening still to the main event (what you could call a back door gut shot ;) )

I'm playing in a "FRE-ECOOP", freeroll qualifier next week where top 14/1000 win a seat to M/E.

I got there by spending just 10 player points, result! :D

      Level 3 > Won 5 seat SNG
      Level 2 > 1st/94 MTT (top 15 seats to Level 1)
      Level 1 > 6th/221 MTT (top 20 got FRE-ECOOP seats)

Doubtful I'll make the cut but will let you know. GL to you anyway, bring it home to PokerStrategy!

      Cheers,

      Bart.

Am also in the FREECOOP main event.

Direct qualification through 5 seater SnG

Btw not all 14 seats go to M/E, every place awards a different entry to the other events in ECOOP. Place 2 is for the main event.

      Ah ok Dragar, thanks mate.

So long ago since I qualified for it, hadn't really taken much notice.

See you in the tourney, don't go stealing my blinds now rofl ;)

      Good Luck

      = 449th/745.

Card dead the whole tournament, except for AKo which split with other AKo & 99 which I pushed at end only for AKo to hit straight on river.

Tried to play a couple of other marginal hands (the best I received), but calling stations everywhere. A bit of a joke, but what you come to expect of this type of tourney.

Hope Dragar did/is doing alright. Good luck to anyone actually playing in the Series.

I need some help from MTT specialists. I am playing only cash games but I am familiar with 1 table sit n go tourneys as i used to paly them and understand early phase, middle phase, bubble play.. , but how does that differ from 3000 players tourneys? How would you explain the strategies through different phases? And for me there is one more thing, ecoop is much above my bankroll, but unfortunately i cant exchange ticket for money so i have to play it, which means i will not play to win it but just to get ITM, which is obviously bad strategy for regulars tourneys but not special ones.

      I busted 151st

From SB I get A10o and limp it in. Button had also limped.

Flop gives me the A but there is a flush draw. I bet pot since I know button does not have better kicker because he didn't raise. He puts me all-in, I call.

He gets the flush on the turn... holding 4 5.

      I am out.

Still don't get his line... (had 8k chips, blinds were at 600... I had to double up with this) . I had half of his stack... he risks 1/2 of his stack for this??

      Congrats to him I guess.

MTTs at this size are new to me too (the largest I played was 1600 and came 2nd).

It's all the usual stuff though mate, patience, play the right hands, DONT tilt if you're the victim of donk play, and weigh up the hand and the pot before proceeding with EXTREME caution.

Due to the nature of large MTTs you can watch the stats board inside your ipoker client and near enough "lyao" at the rate players drop out.

I played a 3400 MTT few weeks back, there were 760 players gone in the first 40 minutes :)

Just concentrate on your game and play as well as you can.
And dont for 1 second think about the prize money at the end, you will just distract yourself from playing your best game,

      GL,

Just on a personal note, is anyone else getting nervous about the M/E ??
One week away, think I need to go burn some incense and have a few beers lol :D

Ive been trying to work out how long its going to take to play (have booked Mon/Tue off - Mon to play thru Sun night and Tue to recover or rejoice)

The antes dont kick in until the blinds are 500/1000, and each level is 30 minutes - i reckon this could be a 10 hour+ event.

      WOW

in 2 hours and half i played 8 hands.
      88 - won small pot
      AKo raised pf, cbet/fold

      77, 3bet, took the blinds
87o, doubled up with str8 against a donkey who called my reraise on the river with A high
      AQs, raised, folded to 3bet
QQ, reraised shortstack all in, he had KK
