When I try to open William Hill after installing the software I get this message:
Casino component 'common' is missing and can not be downloaded. Please check your Internet connection and restart casino. If problem persists, please contact Customer Support for immediate assistance.
I delete my cookies, I disable my firewall and the same problem appera again and again.
It's happening for about 6 days.I uninstal the soft and re-install it but nothing changed.
What should I do to make him work?

      Hey there chris1133,

      This sounds very frustrating indeed.

Have you taken the advice of contacting their customer support? This would be the best option as they have probably encountered this issuue before and can offer the quickest and best solutions :)

Keep us updated and I will move this to our William Hill board.

      Regards,
      Gary

Yes I contacted the Customer Support, I did what they ask me ( I delete my cookies, internet files, disable my firewall, uninstall and re-install the software) but the problem don't disapear. I start the app in administrator mode but again same problem. I don't know what else to do.

      Hey chris1133,

I found this on another forum. Might be worth a try.

"This can be due to the fact that sometimes the Casino part doesn't shut down when you close client and then screws it up when you try and reopen client. Open your task manager and look for something that says casino and close it, when you restart client now, it should work."

Let us know how you get on

This may be related to HM2
William Hill -- and I presume other iPoker sites -- needed to be fully up and running BEFORE you start HM2.

This is apparently due to the way HM2 reads speed poker data.

If you don't have HM2 then of course this doesn't apply.

      Best of luck,

There are a couple of different problems in this thread.

What exact symptoms do you get?
Can you provide a screen shot of any error messages?

      Are you running as administrator?
Are you running HM2 as well as William Hill?

I suggest you do a full shutdown/restart of your computer, then try to install the software again if it is not already installed.

If it installs correctly, try to run it with NO OTHER software running.

If it installs and runs on a clean machine, then we can start to try to troubleshoot.

Most definitely, HM2 be started only once William Hill is running and logged in.

      Best of luck,

Doesn't run on a clean machine. I am running as administrator, It's not HM2 because I reinstall windows and the same problem appear, and I don't run any other software. It's strange...and I see that many people have this problem.

      Next step:
      Uninstall ALL iPoker clients.

      Re-install.
Make sure that re-install is the first thing you do after reboot.
Then reboot again and make sure WH is the first thing you run.

If that still does not work, then you need to contact their tech support.

It sounds to me like you have problems with the .NET framework, but troubleshooting that can be tricky.

      Best of luck,

      Hey chris1133,

As they use ActiveX controls, there are a couple of other things you could try.

Disable AV and firewalls while installing. AV software and firewalls will generally block the downloading of ActiveX controls by default.

If you use Internet Explorer, go to Internet Options > Advanced and somewhere there will be options about what to do regarding ActiveX.

      Worth a try.

      Hey rupucis2,

Make sure you uninstall all iPoker skins and then re-install. It's likely they use shared files to access .NET framework.

Let us know how you go

      Hey guys,

When the client is first launched, it looks for new versions of some components and updates them.
This file missing means that most probably something is going wrong during this update process.

Please check that your Firewall/ AV settings / ISP don't block the connection.
