Had one of the worst poker runs of my career today, every single hand I picked up got cracked by absolute trash >< My question is, when you're having that kind of day, when do you just stand up and quit? I tried to grind through, I can even say I didn't really tilt despite getting completely boned by the dealer. I wound up -5 BIs and just said f it im done.

Would you guys have kept playing? Would you have stopped after it was clear it just isnt your day after -2BI or so?

I'm down 8 BI today. It's very normal. Check your EV line, check your plays, look for your leaks or if you could have found that river fold.

Hey bro, I'll help you out. Firstly, if you can't handle variance, then this is not the game for you my friend.

The first hand the equities run quite close even on the flop, so don't be too annoyed.

The second, you should be snap folding this hand pre. Any hand with 3x X card is a horrendous hand, with very little nuttiness.

Again, if you look at the 3rd hand, you're actually behind in equity on the flop! I know it's really absurd to think, but actually if you had won, villain would have been 'bad beat'.

On the last hand, this is a very standard situation. You're essentially flipping when then both call you. It's a bit sick but still very very standard!

So don't get too beat up! Like I said, review your hands, check your thought process, refine your opening ranges, study board textures and flop equities.

      Peace

In first hand it's sometimes good idea just call the flop and wait for a safe turn. SB looks superstrong when he donks on that kind of flop in multiway pot. UTG calls so he could have like FD or set. If the turn bricks, then you can get the money in with much better equity than flop, if we're right about villains ranges.

2nd hand. Well, trips in hand is not the best possible situation. If you're ~sure that you're gonna get the money in pre, then trip aces are ok. They obviously aren't as good as AAxx, but still it's the best hand pre.

In 3rd hand are you betting river for value or bluff? Villains line is really, really weird/weak but I still probably wouldn't bet the river for value that big, or maybe i wouldn't bet at all. Maybe he could call some small bet with overpair, or even 76xx.

4th hand is just Omaha. :)

This is game of high variance and you just have to deal with it. Sometimes you loose, but on the other hand, every now and then you see times when you're the one who hit the nuts in every hand. :f_love:
