Hello and hi to friends and fans around the world!

I am Vargan.

Some of you may know me, some of you may not, and some of you probably just don't care.

I've been playing poker since january. I have done this, and done that. I withdrew there, deposited everywhere - but lets forget it.
Just a downswing, because the important thing is:

I am back.

In this thread you will find my goals and dreams, and how they are treating me.

This is what I want to do:
• Stop gambling.
• Beat and climb the limits from NL $10 to the stars.
• Improve my game and become a better player.

I will start with:
• Beat NL $10.
• Build a bankroll for NL $25.

I play shorthanded BSS on PokerStars.
My starting bankroll was $78,51.
The date and result will always correspond with my PT3.

Before you think you are about to do something really clever and try to help me, DO NOT, yet, tell me to read up on Bankroll Management. I know its controversial to stopping gambling, to play with a low ammount of buyins, but this is my starting point.

November 4th:
SHNL $10.
Hands: 342.
Profit: $11.45.
Bankroll: $89,96.

So my dear friends and fans, think before you post, and check back soon for updates.

Hi all!

I'm not having to much time to play these days as I have some big commitments going on at school.

November 5th: (So far)
SHNL $10.
Hands: 422.
Profit: $1.85.
Bankroll: $91.81.

I started out very spewy, and made alot of mistakes and went down about 1.5BI. Then I told myself thats not how you play and started playing better.

:D

And....... I'm busted. I tried NL200 with my whole BR and.... no.

:D

Hello you, reader you.

Busy weekend so my kilohand-plan was flushed.

Today I played about two hours.

November 9th:
SHNL $10
Hands: 797.
Profit: $16.10
Bankroll: $107.91

I must be doing something right, but I think I'm also doing something wrong. I'm a HUGE nit. Not a big sample size (1561). I have a VPIP of 14.16 and a FPR of 12.88. I feel I play every hand in my range whenever there is a spot for it.

Any great ideas?

Feel free to ask questions, I'll do my best to answer.

:spade: V.

p.s.: Hello SoyCD!

November 11th:
SHNL $10
Hands: 310.
Loss: $11.85
Bankroll: $96,06

I stopped because I felt I didnt have enough focus to play, and thats probably because I experience REAL tilt yesterday. Its a real life issue, and about my education, and it made me tilt. Never been that "bad-beaten" for many many many years.

Oh well and but hey. This is a part of the game.

There is always tommorow. :)

Ah. Nothing.

Ive had no time to play, due to various reasons. The main reason is me being sick. I have great respect for my current BR, so I found it best not to toy with it.

After next friday, I will have alot of my time freed up. Hopefully some of it can and will go towards playing poker.

Maybe I should watch when you play a session and make comments when you play. Just ask, I'll do it ;)

14/13 is pretty nitty, but it can easily be played profitable on nl10sh.

Hello hello and yet again hello.

Time for an update!

Yesterday I staked this gambler I live with with $37, reducing my bankroll to $59.06. Great idea there. :D

I no longer have any tracker, so I gotto do the math myself, but after todays first real session in a month, I earned $0.70!

Bankroll: $59.76

Ive caught a cold so I am abit reduced in concentration and focus, but today was day one of stepping up my game. I still have a reload bonus I need to clear.

Ill take you up on your offer some day soon Snodreliss.

Untill next update! :D

Snodre got me to download and try Hold'em Manager, so I now have a tracker again. Its very nice. Its less complicated than PT3.

My results for last month (november):
$0.05/0.1 NL
1871 hands
$17.55 profit
9.38bb/100
14.4/12.9

I played some last night (up $7), but Im gonna play some in a few minutes aswell, so Ill update at the end of the day!

Hey!
Quick question, I need to get back to my friends in a few minutes, but I need a female opinion on something. Would you ever date a guy named Herman?

If you dont get that first part, thats totally ok. Its just an opener. The idea is to get some action in this bloggy so here we go!

These are my latest sessions:

One some point during my downswing I went on to donk a NL25 table.
With around $27 left in my BR. (If I remember correctly.)

First I won a few hands, but suddenly I did not win and then I stopped.

So this is my month so far:

What ususally happens, is I build up 1-2 buyins over a session, then loose them with poor play or suckouts in 1-2 hands.

My play has improved, so hopefully I will be spared the suckouts, I will probably show a result more similar to last month in terms of bb/100.

Thats all for now. Please post a text response in the comments below!

 V.

EDIT: Ok. None of the pictures show up. That makes perfect sense to me.
EDIT: OH! OH! LOOK LOOK!

Played 1217 hands today.
At some point I was up about almost 3BI, but I pushed a coucple of hands I should have stayed away from, and I had to pay the price. But atleast Ive found a leak: sometimes I make to quick desicions and push hands, "just to see" and/or what not. These are hands that I should not take that far and most of the time I loose a full BI, really holding my BR growft back.

I am also straight-blind, meaning I often loose to straights I did not see.

It might take a while, but NL25 is next stop before the stars!

I should have played check/fold on the flop. I called the reraise preflop because I had the button to outplay postflop. If anything it was for practice. Its nice to suck out sometimes though. :)

I was dealt AA 8 times last session and I won all 8. :)

I guess thats it. Showing of my luck and skill, untill next time

Happy Holidays
