Hi everyone. I am experiencing my first downswing. I have lost $130 in the last two days (11BI-12$ turbo SnG). I use very conservative BRM (>100 BI) so this is only 8% of my BR but it is still alot of money. I have had a lot of bad beats. Here a two bad beats (within the same set)
      No Limit Holdem Tournament
      $11 + $1 Sit & Go (Turbo)

      BTN NoDrawingPower (1520)
      SB DCDeano (1450)
      BB Hero (1485)

      Blinds: 25/50

      Pre-flop: (75, 9 players) Hero is BB :3s: :3h:
      1 fold, dashizzle121 raises to 150, 5 folds, DCDeano calls 125, Hero calls 100

      DCDeano bets 450, Hero calls 450, dashizzle121 goes all-in 1355, DCDeano calls 850, Hero calls 885

      Turn: A: (4440, 3 players)

      River: K: (4440, 3 players)

      Final Pot: 4420
      Hero shows: :3s: :3h:
      dashizzle121 shows: A: K:
      DCDeano shows: K: J:

      dashizzle121 wins 4420 ( won +2915 )

Having -11BI dealing with turboSnG isnt that big, seems more like a normal variance. Keep up good play and read some strategies and keep playing and you'll be up soon :)

      Hi fun101rockets

Just so that you know you are not alone... I am currently going through a similar downswing, down 15 BI playing $11 sngs on titan... this is not my first downswing but it is my first at this level.... A few things that keep me focused during a downswing (rather than punching the wall and ripping my lounge apart)...

      1. I break more frequently, especially when the money figure seems large and I can feel the frustration building... I want to avoid tilting, have done so before...

      2. I like to analyse my game closely, read articles again, watch videos again to make certain that it is a downswing and not simply bad play on my behalf....

Once I have the right mindset and the confidence to play my normal game I take the mentality that I will push through and come out the other side on top.... I am a winning player and long term that's not going to change... $150 seems a lot now, but so did $40 not so long ago....

I always try to think about what the likes of Phil Ivey and Doyle Brunson must have gone through to get where they are... It makes it easier to handle the big picture...

Anyway, best of luck and hope it goes back up soon....

      No problem...

Just a quick update and hopefully a lesson... my downswing bottomed out at -24BI.... then followed by my recovery... I also follow the 100BI rule, but I take shots at the next level with +-75BI... Not even 72hrs after then bottom of my swing I am taking shots @ the $22 games...

      Keep the faith...
