      Hey everyone!

With June almost upon us seems like a good time to start a blog!

I've had various blogs on various different sites over the last couple of years.

Really is a great way to stay focussed and keep on track.

      Poker - The Story

About 3 years ago i was on a night out in Glasgow and ended up in the Casino. There was a cash game going blinds were £0.5/£1. I sat down with £40, didn't have a clue, just knew the hand rankings (roughly), a straight beats a flush right? About 2 hours later i stood with a decent profit. Kept flopping trips for fun and was getting paid off every time. I thought this is an easy game!

I then started playing in pub games, it was really good fun.

I also started playing poker through my TV - the site i joined allowed you to play using your remote control, i loved it! They stopped that about 18 months ago now, so i just started playing through their software online.

I used to deposit £10/£20, win some then lose it. Volume was really low and £10/20 would last me a month/ 2 months. During this time, in the space of a week i managed to bink a small stakes MTT and the same week came 2nd in another. My account for the first time ever was over 3 figures. I snap withdrew £50 and left myself the rest to play with for fun. The game was sussed i couldn't lose! The money that i left in my account lasted a while but eventually i was busto, i knew i wasn't just "unlucky" but must be making mistakes as other players were winning consistantly. It was at this point i decided i wanted improve my game, and become a better player and winning player.

About this time I discovered the site had a community section, with forums with various sections including a forum where people could post up hand histories and get feedback and advice. I ended up getting really involved with the community and my game started to turn around...

I'll post in a bit about where i am today

      So yeah the user name:)

From Scotland and support the mighty Celtic. Decided to cut out an s so Larson:D After the legend Henrik Larsson, not that i couldn't spell Larsson of course:P

      Poker Today

Yeah poker today is amazing, love it!

Results have been really sweet the last year.

I play 6 max cash games, MTT's and HU Sit and Go's and sometimes a bit of HU Cash.

This time last year my sharkscope was minus £300, today it's plus £2k.

Out of all games, i enjoy playing MTT's the most, nothing like running deep and taking one down! My roi for MTT's ever is like 48%.

Cash; i play 20nl just now, i am rolled to play 50nl but am in no rush to move up at the minute. There is really good money at 20nl and feel i need to improve somewhat before i move up.

This blog here will keep me focussed.

My win rate at cash is quite high, and would be higher if on occasion i didn't tilt/ spew, another good reason to have a blog, know you can't spew if you are going to write about a session!

Got quite a few leaks in my cash game, i need to get sorted over the next month.

      May

May was my best month ever with regard to profit, despite having a small downswing mid way through the month.

      June

      So to June!

      Targets for this month are

      -£1k profit
-Spend more time reviewing sessions (i'm really bad at not doing this!)
-Set aside time outside of playing to study/ watch some training videos
      - Pay close attention at cash tables, and minimise some of the leaks i've noticed in the last month
      - It's a tough one because i don't know what my volume will be like this month, but also to make priority (achieve 10k poker points)

Wish me luck! And Good luck everyone at the tables

Fun hand from last night, tried using the hand converter on here, but it's not compatiable with the site i play on.

      From 20nl

Table is 4 handed, we have 4c, 4h in the small blind, stack is £41ish)

UTG 3 xes to 60p. Button folds, i call from SB, bb folds. Pot is £1.40

      Flop 4d,4s,10s

      BoooooOOOM Quadaroonies

I check, villian bets £1. I call, pot is £3.40

Turn; 5c. Going with the flop line i check, villian bets just under half pot £1.60. Total pot is £6.60

      Decided just to call again.

      River is Qh

I lead out for £4.80, villian jams happy days :)

Tough balance, between calling turn or raising. We are going to fold out so much of his range.

      Hey Mal,

Thought when White was finished it would be onwards and upwards for Rangers.

Green and White and Ranger's, couldn't write it!

It's just one thing after another.Expected wallace would be really good, but so far he seems pretty bad too.

Scottish football has been a bit of a joke the last couple of years. Would be good to get some stability at Rangers for the future.

      There's only one JOHNNY HARTSON

      Results so far this month

      Cash plus £134
      MTT's minus £26
Freeroll for a Satelite Seat- £48 (took the cash).

      Pokerpoints 550.

Cash has been a bit frustrating, in as much as profit should have been a bit more. Lost some money in silly spots.

Had a brilliant sweat session a couple of weeks ago with a really good player.

It's amazing the leaks we over look. Only hands i really ever looked at were the big winning/ losing hands, which are mostly coolers.

It's amazing the amount of money lost in small pots by small mistakes, it soon adds up!

That's what I said my goals were at the start of the month.

I achieved the ones in bold. Put in a massive grind this month to make priority, it's been tough going, really hard, but I managed to get there in the end.

It was especially tough given the warm weather/ worldcup been on, the amount of times I was playing against 4/5 regs was unbelievable lol

Don't want to play cash ever again, until next week sometime lol

      Good luck poker players:)
