      Hey michel2311,

I ask myself the same question. I love to play PLO8, Stud games and large MTTs but the only format where i have done well consistently is 45 man SnGs. So I should stick to them too. :)

      Have fun

      Thanks guys!!

No SDK I don't have plans to start a blog in the Dutch section on short term. It's difficult enough to manage one. But you'll never know. :D

Did also some things on the list.

      Things to do:
      - Re-install SNG-wizard. [in progress]
      - Re-install ICM-trainer. [done]
      - Get my P/F back to the level I had it’s a bit rusty now. [continu in progress]
      - Non-poker: run 3 times a week (mo-we-fr). [done friday run]

About SNG-wiz I'm not sure if I must use that programm or must take a subscribtion on Holdem Resource Manager. Atm I think I go for the last option because it's a way better program.

Hopefully I can play some games tomorrow to look if I still got it.

Today started with a session of 100 ICM trainer hands. Results are not that bad but must improve a lot. I will do a session every day to get my push/fold on a better level.

Next goal is 90% over 100 hands.

Also played 5 games and lost all 5......pushed 6 times and lost 5 of them. Maybe tonight if I'm not too tired I'll play some more games.

Played some games tonight. Had not a good feeling when I was playing but at the end I had a small plus. Will review tomorrow all the push/fold hands because I think I didn't make big errors today. Still needs lots of work to get it on track.

Another part is stealing and restealing. This will be my second focus the next week or so. Best thing to have is a big stack on the bubble. :)

Yesterday I got my first coaching from Tim. Learned a lot from him and will book some coaching in the future again.

A little review: Seems I’m not as bad as I thought I was. According to Tim I play a solid game for the microstakes. But I must play a little more aggressive, sometimes forgot to cbet and must take more spots against fish. Also tag players if I think they are fish (limpers, callers, etc.) and play against them if I can.

To get the most information I think it’s better to play max 4 tables at this moment. Volume will be lower then but if I play more I miss some information. Also gonna think about a weekschedule to get more things done in the same time.

Another thing is to get a subscription on HRC. This to get my P/F ranges better. In coachin it seems that I don’t push enough and probably (own opinion) call too wide in some spots.

Pokerwise is September an awfull month for me. Very low volume, very bad results and sometimes very bad plays. All those things resulting in a roi -30% or so. But as mentioned the volume is very low so this is not accurate. I’ll try to make some more volume in October (goal: 400-500 games) and hope that the variance is on my side.

Will try to post once a week or so to get some life in this blog. Also gets me motivated if I write some things down.

Sngwiz is pretty outdated software these days. I would suggest also to try HRC and get someone to teach using it effectively. For example hand filtering with some tracker tool (HM, PT) and running those hands through with HRC quick analyse is pretty convenient. Quick way to go through huge hand samples to notice bigger leaks in push/fold/call situations.

      Restart part 2

      Get Rich or Die Trying.......

      Starting roll: $117,80
      Goal: $1k

Game: don't know, prob mixing some mtt/sng/cash with focus on cash due too time restrictions. Work and family dont let me play long sessions so sng wont work on most days.

      Room: Pokerstars

      Time: no goal set

Side goal: run 10k in march 2015 :D

      Update: every monday

      End week 1 : $ 133,61
      Difference : $ 15,81
      Hands this week: 1336 (NL10)

When I started week 1 I didn't know what I want to play. Tried some HUSNG (hypers) but soon I switched to SH cash. Played some short sessions and did make some profit. Tommorow will be a study-day.

      My NL10 graph:

Tommorow I will post some hands and thougts.

Topic week 2: Why we bet?

Yeah why do we bet? We bet for value and bluff that's clear. But sometimes we bet to take the deadmoney.

Not much time today. Running and training ate all my time today. But her are some thougts about a hand.

      PokerStars - $0.10 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      Hero (BTN): $11.32
      SB: $8.14 (VPIP: 18.18, PFR: 9.09, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 12)
      BB: $10.67 (VPIP: 5.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 20)
      UTG: $13.78 (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 1)
      MP: $10.00 (VPIP: 16.67, PFR: 16.67, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 6)
      CO: $11.60 (VPIP: 28.57, PFR: 28.57, 3Bet Preflop: 33.33, Hands: 21)

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has Q:diamond: 3:diamond:

With 2 tight players in the blinds I'll raise this hand to steal the blinds. I bet to take the deadmoney.

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.20, SB calls $0.15, fold

      Flop: ($0.50, 2 players) 3:club: 2:diamond: 5:diamond:
SB checks, Hero bets $0.30, SB calls $0.30

On flop I've a midpair and a flushdraw. When SB check to me I decide to semi-bluff. Think he calls my bet with a bunch of broadways, pockets that didn't hit like 44, 66,77, flushdraws and Ax hands (especially with A :diamond:) . Anything else what hits the board here (sets/straight) should have check/raise here.

      Turn: ($1.10, 2 players) 8:club:
      SB checks, Hero checks

On turn I take the free rivercard. Dont see any value in betting here.

      River: ($1.10, 2 players) 7:heart:
      SB checks, Hero checks,

Same on the river. A bet wil only be called by a hand that beats me.

Another hand but here my value hands turn in a bluff on the river.

      PokerStars - $0.10 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      BTN: $10.15 (VPIP: 20.59, PFR: 20.59, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 35)
      Hero (SB): $17.96
      BB: $13.85 (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 3)
      UTG: $11.30 (VPIP: 15.22, PFR: 10.87, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 47)
      MP: $14.45 (VPIP: 28.57, PFR: 28.57, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7)
      CO: $13.18 (VPIP: 10.64, PFR: 7.45, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 95)

Hero posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has A:club: Q:club:

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.30, BB calls $0.20

      Flop: ($0.60, 2 players) 8:diamond: 5:spade: Q:diamond:
Hero bets $0.30, BB calls $0.30

      Turn: ($1.20, 2 players) T:diamond:
Hero bets $0.40, BB calls $0.40

I think I can bet the flop and turn for value. Dont like my sizing because a reg would raise me on the turn because this is very weak. Flop should be bigger to protect against a flushdraw.

      River: ($2.00, 2 players) 2:diamond:
      Hero bets $0.80, fold,

On the river I turn my hand in a bluff. If I check here I must fold on every bet from vilian. I think every non :diamond: hand folds here on my bet. Maybe this one should also be a bit bigger.

Tommorow I play a new session and on wednesday I will review and post another bunch of hands. If there are comments on these hands just write them down. :)

Just started out with the W34z3l's 6max walkthrough. Watched episode 1 and did make the homework. For the time being I will post it in this tread to keep this a bit more active. :)

      Homework Episode 1

      Downloaded equilab.

 Put in the ranges RFI an CC from every position.

      Bankrollmanagement

Just keep it simple and take the BRM from the series. Moving up to NL25 on $750 and down on $500. I dont play lower than NL10. If I go broke I redeposit from my Neteller. The challenge goes in the first place only until $1k so I dont expect to play at NL50 before that.

      ROR calculation

Picked the winrate and deviation from PT4 and put it in a calculator on the internet. Seems that my bankroll is big enough atm to avoid big risks. :)

      Risk of Ruin
      500 big blinds 30.69%
      1000 big blinds 9.42%
      2000 big blinds 0.89%
      3000 big blinds 0.08%
      4000 big blinds 0.01%
      5000 big blinds 0%
      Minimum bankroll
(for less than 5% risk of ruin) 1268 big blind (have now 1294 bb) :D

That was all. Picture of my setup is not important.

Now going play some hands with the new OR and CC-ranges.

Dont get villains riverbet here. Should I call? Can be a missed draw that he is bluffing on the river but dont want to play for my stack here. Good fold?? :f_confused:

I fold the hand too on river, because I don’t think most players bluffing to often with a over-shove :f_cool:
