Was I too catious? I used to always bet here, but I see people checking on turn just because they cant call a raise, even on drawy boards like this one...

I really dont like it, when should I do it? if I cant call a raise I'd call river anyway and lose the same

I like it. Not a too drawy board and you could be beat. s he checked the river you got the info that he is weak.

yes but I wouldnt call a c/r probably, so CBH and calling river is the same as bet/fold turn. if I cbh turn he may bluff river thoigh, or if I bet/fold turn he may call and bet river and I'd have to call. is it because of that pot controling is best here? and would you do it if J didnt come on turn?

To me it is easy c-bet. Board is drawy and you mostly hold here best hand, so I don´t see any reason to bet for value.
