      Hello,

I Am 23 years old from England.

i have played poker on and off since i was 18 and tried to go at it, but always tilted and lost and gave up, as I'm sure many of you have experienced ;) .

Anyways I am a assistant professional golfer, in my second year of my degree as a golf coach. so a lot of my time is taken up using the day light and being outdoors, as well as gym, drinking, girlfriend.

i love playing golf and want to chase the European tour dream for as long as i can :) .

so seeing as i don't have too much time on my hands to play this great time, i will playing 4 tables of ZOOM NL 6 - max, goal is to try and play 3000 hands 5 nights a week.

so i started again two months ago with 14 dollars in my pokerstars account and grinded it up to $140, granted i was on a bit of a hot streak to start with and didnt go bust :P .

      so whats the goal:

:club: beat 25 nl by Christmas
:club: take my GF on holiday with the money so she lets me play more
:club: treat this as a game and not a career so i don't get annoyed when it starts going wrong, which is why i failed the previous times.
:club: win two county events this year in golf.

il post as much as i can so hope you guys will enjoy a good read. ;)

Not Sure about this hand, pretty sure Im either against AK or AA, 4 bets at this limit are really tight and against that board I am only beating QQ. plus he had a Chance of hitting a spade on the river. let me know what you think.

when out of position this is my tactic to extract value and lose minimum. cont bet, check turn, cal lriver

by far my favourite bit of this game is to get people bluffing trash when i have a strong hand. especially as regs know people at this limit cont bet way too much

plus as well i have released that fish love to set mine with 3 bets. so i find this tactic helps when im massively behind and and get maximum value when im ahead.

let me know what you gurus think :D +ev or -ev

So after last nights session BR is up to $290

plus got a few bonuses of about $35 to cash in soon.

GOAL to the end of October:

:spade: Beat 10 nl and have at least 20,000 hands on it.
:spade: reach gold status so more fpp :P
:spade: watch 5 micro stakes vids
:spade: start getting with using HUD

Haven't used HUD yet, i mean not from when i started in July again that is.

not really sure its that important tbh, until 25nl, the fields are so large your only going to have good stats on the 10% regs and i mark the good players anyway.

personally from my own experience anyone that plays 2nl 5nl, and 10nl, and is thinking about getting a software, play 100,000 hands first.

i only say this because i find learning through personal trial and error, is so much more important and grasping the key fundamentals will only build a great platform, for when you get extra information on your opponents, you can make a sound decision to help with those marginal spots.

my opinion anyway, by far no expert :) .

Just over 3000 hands tonight, bit of a slog tbh, not sure i played really great. but just didnt get any cards on the flop and bluffs were getting called down to often. luckily brought it back towards the end to make $2 dollars profit.

      Few interesting hands.

The flop is really coordinated for 3 bet calling range, but i feel he could be doing this with AK Kq. or maybe QQ.
good work from him i guess because i would never have him on the nuts with the massive over shove, when no flush draws.

NL10 isnt going to plan at the moment lol.

grinded back up to $310 and then took another shot and back down to $275, bearing in mind im only playing one table of nl10 and 3 nl5 tables. maybe might just play two tables of NL10 rather than 3 NL5 and 1 Nl10, just find i get bored playing two but maybe i just need to focus more.

im -$46 at nl10 so far. only a small selection mind. anyway , don't know if i made the right move on this one or was just unlucky.

      Disclaimer: I'm a :f_cool:

On flop I would bet something like 0.65, and just shove to his raise.

On turn I would bet like 2/3 pot so I can shove any non-flush river.

•I'm not sure about donkbet and it's sizing, @ UTG pre flop raiser should have strong range + maybe he will bluff with OC vs 2xcheck (any stats on him?).
Most solid regs will raise/fold here so I like DBet/C more then DB/3Bet. And then X/Ship turn, sounds like good plan for me.
•Xback blank turn is weird, looks like bluff or weak player with no clue.
•River easy bet/fold, he can have hands like KQs and AK that will call. Bet is better then X/C cause we set our price for showdown. Ppl don't bluff @ NL5/10 on river like that, they always have it. I know that cause I call them like a fish ....

Will U post that hand in hand evaluation topic?

cheers for your views guys, to be fair i wasn't expecting him to check back turn and i checked to induce as i thought i looked weak, and any flush draw i thought would of shoved the turn. anyway i think it was a bad call on the river.

i can post it there Cain if you think its worth it? think youve already solved it ;) .

well thinks aren't getting much better at the moment, loads of cooler and still running above ev which i'm not to happy about as i feel as i have a lot of suck outs ahead.

      heres my all time graph:

just feel that im getting 4 bet a lot and i know that this could be coincidence, but when it happens like ten times in a row i start to feel i should be shoving a lot wider, but when i do they have AA KK. funny how this game works as when your winning E.G my first 15,000 hands
you feel you have all the answers, and when it starts to go wrong i feel that everyone is crushing me and can see my whole cards.

enough rambling bankroll is at $250.

      time to watch a video.

Well 4BI it's not that much. Don't worry about EV line, it sucks. In my last 66k hands I'm 16BI over EV... fuck it.
I play NL5 zoom also (ofc made 2-3 shots on nl10, get crushed... cried like baby and back on NL5) and only few regs can 4bet light there. Mostly it will happen on late positions: BBvsSB; Blinds vs BTN. If U don't have a lot of hands on guy or some notes, just give them credit and fold. It's like 8/9bb, don't get paranoid and throw 100bb.

took a short break ove rthe weekend from poker, found myself getting so consumed by theory and betting lines and nothing going my way, just realised i was running bad.

So last two sessions went pretty well, plus i cashed in my bonuses so total bankroll up to £325. going to grind it up to £350 andthen two table nl10 with 5 buyins, the grind it up again if i go bust.

      heres my all time graph:

      and a few interesting hands:

Don't ask me how i got paid off with this,

      PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) ZOOM - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      BTN: $5.02
      SB: $6.16
      Hero (BB): $5.65
      UTG: $4.98
      MP: $3.64
      CO: $6.94

SB posts SB $0.02, Hero posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has 9:heart: 4:spade:

UTG calls $0.05, MP calls $0.05, fold, fold, SB calls $0.03, Hero checks

      Flop: ($0.20, 4 players) 4:diamond: 9:club: K:club:
SB checks, Hero bets $0.14, fold, MP calls $0.14, fold

      Turn: ($0.48, 2 players) 4:club:
Hero bets $0.34, MP raises to $0.68, Hero raises to $1.59, MP raises to $2.50, Hero raises to $5.46 and is all-in, MP calls $0.95 and is all-in

      River: ($7.38, 2 players) 3:club:

Hero shows 9:heart: 4:spade: (Full House, Fours full of Nines) (Pre 35%, Flop 75%, Turn 95%)
MP shows K:heart: 6:heart: (Two Pair, Kings and Fours) (Pre 65%, Flop 25%, Turn 5%)
      Hero wins $7.07

the turn bet on this one is way too small and leaves me with a rubbish choice, really should commit on the turn with a pot sized bet, feel he is going to fold a lot of AQ AK, JJ, TT hands here, and i would then have the pot odds to go all in if he shoves.

•With AJs, if U think he will float a lot here with strong OC and all PP U can X/Ship turn.
I know it sucks to fold when U put so much $ in pot, but overall the play wasn't so terrible. I agree that T Cbet should be bigger if U want him to fold PP here, ~2$ would be good I think.

      •AQ, shoudn't call that river x/r but I do it a lot also :(
From September running hot :f_biggrin: , but so poor volume ;(

well had another shot at nl10 as bankroll went up to £350, played well just don't think the cards went well again, but theres plenty of fish at this limit and everyone loves to give away the blinds.

goal for this weekend, get my zoom HUD to work!!! cant for life of me figure why its not working, use to work on this laptop ages ago and now nothing.

      heres my graph from nl5

I wish  it's NL5 zoom. But I'm heavy over rolled so should make another shot soon.
