Hello, recently I've started playing 18man's and I have watched bankroll builder where he talks some strategy and it helped me a lot but now I want to dig in deeper and I wonder if some of you maybe have some good material you can share with me or some basic thoughts would help to.

      Hey rap1dw1n3r,

I couldn't find anything below Silver status so you may have to consider upgrading your status.

There are a couple of nice videos for Silver:

12-Tabling Low Stakes 18-Man SNGs by Fitzinator

18 Russian men in a Collin Moshman leakfinder by CollinMoshman

Upgrading to Silver is really easy by just playing on your tracked room. Earn 1 SP in a day (between .25c and .40c rake) and we'll give you 10 bonus points.

      Regards

      Laz

Thanks a lot guys :) I'm more interested in 7-15$ level since i found 1.5 and 3.5rly hard to beat due to variance but I will sure look into those videos when i have the chance since there might be some good ideas to improve my game :)

      It is worth double that!

I tried to watch it but the "music" was so annoying!
Even when turned off it was not really possible to learn from it IMHO.

      Oh well.

      Hey rap1dw1n3r,
To play the higher limits, you need a correspondingly bigger bankroll, and correspondingly MORE skills.

Bear in mind that the variance is exactly the same across all limits -- you win some you lose some. As you move up, though, the skill edge of the other players improves. If you don't have a skill edge at $1.50 - $3.00 sufficient to beat variance, then it is unlikely you will at $7.00 - $15.00.

OTOH, if you DO have the skillz, then GO FOR IT!

      Best of luck,

I agree that the music sucks but I had to put some piece of music there and I couldn't figure out what to put there to make everyone happy. Personally I don't like it either. There is a 9man sng video with different music on my channel.

It's not really meant to be elite learning material but I suppose it's possible to slow it down and get some insight on the game.

Perhaps a voice over explaining your thought processes at some of the more interesting hands -- but how can we tell which ones are interesting since the hole cards don't show?

How do YOU even know what you have?

How do you set PokerStars to not show your hole cards?

Or am I totally missing something again?

      Cheers,

That is the point - I disabled showing hole cards so I didn't see any of my hands on purpose.

      Pokerstars7 => Settings -> Table appearance -> Cards -> Hide hole cards
Pokerstars6 => Options -> Table display options -> Hide hole cards

Cool -- I didn't even know it was possible.

How does this help you play?

I assume that there is some way to see your hole cards?
Ah -- just tried it. Nifty
