      Hey guys.

      About me :

My name is Srdjan, I'm 29y old from Belgrade/Serbia. I finished faculty of Economics/Banking and now I am currently on master studies, finishing my master thesis in auditing, but I don't see my self doing that in future since the hourly is very low and it's hard to get job here as well.
Apart from poker I am very active. Swimming 3xweek, exercising 4xweek, eating healthy...

      Poker background :

I started playing poker (learn the rules) in January 2013. Played on Pacifik nl2, then nl6 in March, and in April I started playing nl10 and crushed it 10.6bb/100 in April/March.

From then on, my biggest problem started - I was scared of losing money on higher limits.

If you know a bit about Serbia, average salary around here is around 350-400€. That's the amount that I could make on micros, and being on cautious side as person I stayed there.

From June 2013 till April 2014 I played on different sites micros earning myself that average salary approx. in 4hours a day.

In April I started playing on Hive network and until 30.09. I played nl5 mostly, 13 tables at once. I made shots on nl10 since ppl tell me that I have knowledge to beat nl50 easily but it didn't end well.

NL5(it says nl4, and the results are in $ and they should be in € but it's due to converter since hud doesn't work and because of that I deleted my nick) :

      NL10 :

In October things started going much better so my results on NL5 and NL10 are like this :

I am playing 4 hours every day, which is around 3500-4000 hands, mostly nl5 unfortunately.

      Poker studying :

I am learning every day to play. My favorite coach is A.Jackson from Bluefire since he uses/explains HUD a lot, but I have membership on pretty much all relevant poker studying sites. The thing is only that a lot of good coaches are playing nl50 zoom as lowest limits and that is miles ahead of level needed to beat micros at Hive network.

      Poker goals :

      - Work out my mental game issues and move up to higher limits

      - Continue improving my poker game consistently

That's it for now guys. I will do my best to update this thread regularly. If you have any suggestions/comments feel free to post them.

      Take care,
      Srdjan

      @ Harrier88 Okay, didn't know that.

      Update 17.10.2014. :

Downswing from yesterday continues. Played 5,5h today and I think I am gonna get back to 4h a day. It is around 100-120k hands per month which is fine since it is 4hours of effective play + time for studying poker.

      Hands :

      $0.05 BB (5 handed)

      MP ($5.39)
      Button ($1.54)
      SB ($5)
      BB ($5.98)
      Hero (UTG) ($5.55)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, A
Hero raises $0.15, 3 folds, BB raises $0.20, Hero calls $0.10

      Flop: ($0.52) 7, K, A (2 players)
BB bets $0.30, Hero calls $0.30

      Turn: ($1.12) 9 (2 players)
BB bets $0.55, Hero calls $0.55

      River: ($2.22) J (2 players)
      BB bets $1.48, Hero ???

Villain is playing 46/16/2.3 on 136 hands, so very small sample for anything but vpip/pfr.

I decided to call since I rivered 2pairs and flush missed, but I don't think he actually has that many flushes in his range.

      ****************************************************************

      $0.05 BB (6 handed)

      Hero (MP) ($5.27)
      CO ($5.47)
      Button ($1.81)
      SB ($5.74)
      BB ($4.25)
      UTG ($2.07)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A, A
1 fold, Hero raises $0.15, CO calls $0.15, 2 folds, BB calls $0.10

      Flop: ($0.47) 10, 4, 8 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.31, 1 fold, BB calls $0.31

      Turn: ($1.09) 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.72, BB raises $2.54, Hero???

Villain who called flop is fish 59/2/6.8 on 302 hands. Flop raise 2% up until now, turn raise was 25% I think and he showed down full house. Don't know what were other hands.
Basically, I think that he wouldn't raise any top pair or less but he woul call all three streets. So I am facing here prob. some set TT,44,88 or T8. That's why I decided to fold.

      Update 18.10.2014.

Played 4hours today, 3733hands. My game was good and the results were great.

Currently my effective role is 333e, and I will shot NL10, 5bi when I reach 350e. I will do my best to withdraw only RB, so all net won should go into moving through limits.
NL25 shot is planned at 875e, also for 5BIs, but I am getting ahead of myself right now.

      Interesting hands :

      $0.05 BB (6 handed)

      BB ($3.33)
      UTG ($1.97)
      MP ($5)
      Hero (CO) ($5)
      Button ($6)
      SB ($3.98)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, Q
2 folds, Hero raises $0.15, 1 fold, SB calls $0.13, BB calls $0.10

      Flop: ($0.45) 7, 6, 4 (3 players)
SB bets $0.20, BB calls $0.20, Hero raises $0.72, SB calls $0.52, BB calls $0.52

      Turn: ($2.61) A (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $2.46 (All-In), Hero???

SB plays 67/20/1.4 over 265 hands. He donked 14% up until this hand.
BB plays 57/2/3.1 over 1.4k hands. Turn donk mw pot 10%.

Flop is drawy so I raised for value. When A hits, it could give them two pairs, mostly A7, A6. BB could have even AJ,AQ since he looks like calling station. Anyway, with the player behind I can't see how this could be profitable call.

      **************************************************************

      $0.05 BB (4 handed)

      BB ($8.20)
      UTG ($2.52)
      Hero (Button) ($9.79)
      SB ($5.75)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 10, A
UTG calls $0.05, Hero raises $0.20, 1 fold, BB calls $0.15, UTG calls $0.15

      Flop: ($0.62) 6, 2, A (3 players)
BB bets $0.62, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.62

      Turn: ($1.86) J (2 players)
      BB bets $1.30, Hero ???

This hand puzzles me the most.

Villain on CO is fish 76/28/10.5
Villain on BB is reg 23/20/6.5 over 2.1k hands, donk bet 19% with this hand probably. This is as dry flop as it gets and I can't see why in the world would he donk it for value.
His river bet is extremely low though, so figured if I call turn I can safely fold any river knowing I am behind, although I am not sure if it is turn call.

      Take care,
      Srdjan

      Update : 19.10.2014.

Played today only 2 hours since I wasn't at home most of the day. I am really pissed off because I started to chat on Skype while playing 13 tables at once. It is one seriously bad habit that i am going to get rid off permanently since it distracts me enough that I make stupid mistakes.

One good thing though, I joined poker study group from PokerStrategy. :s_cool:

This month on nl5 I have 12.3bb/100 on 46k hands.

      BR : 373 €

      Tomorrow I am taking a shot on nl10 5BIs.

      Hands :

      $0.05 BB (6 handed)
      CO ($6.92)
      Button ($10.46)
      SB ($5)
      BB ($4.02)
      Hero (UTG) ($5.66)
      MP ($5)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, A
Hero raises $0.15, 1 fold, CO calls $0.15, 2 folds, BB calls $0.10

      Flop: ($0.47) A, 8, 5 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.31, CO calls $0.31, 1 fold

      Turn: ($1.09) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $6.46 (All-In), Hero ???

Villain fish 79/9 on 222 hands. vs missed cbet on turn 1/1 but this was just strange

      ****************************************************************

      $0.05 BB (6 handed)

      MP ($5)
      CO ($5.35)
      Hero (Button) ($5)
      SB ($6.62)
      BB ($6.57)
      UTG ($2.96)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K, K
3 folds, Hero raises $0.12, 1 fold, BB calls $0.07

      Flop: ($0.26) 6, 7, 4 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.20, BB calls $0.20

      Turn: ($0.66) 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.44, BB raises to $6.25 (All-In), Hero???

      Villain 39/10 on 116 hands...no other info...another wtf situation ?

      ******************************************************

      $0.05 BB (6 handed)

      MP ($5)
      CO ($8.65)
      Button ($2.74)
      Hero (SB) ($5.76)
      BB ($1.75)
      UTG ($1.77)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8, 7
UTG raises $0.15, MP calls $0.15, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.13, 1 fold

      Flop: ($0.50) 5, Q, 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.15, MP raises $0.95, Hero???

      UTG is fish 71/23 0n 80 hands

MP is nit 18/11/3.5 on 2k hands. This is the hand we discussed in group. My opinion was that shove is most profitable play since I can fold his top pair which has more than 40% equity against my hand, and if he calls I am in good shape. If I call, I am oop, and if I miss I don't think turn call is ev+ play.

      Update : 21.10.2014.

Played 4 hours today, around 4k hands. Shot on NL10 went pretty well. Hopefully it will continue in this manner.

With my RB deal I could expect to earn a lot more than on nl5.

All guys were complete maniacs like I said, I could fold to any of them with those hands. It's best not to play tilted so I called it a day.

Yes they were, but important thing is that I left when I was tilted so they didn't impact my results afterwards.

      Update 23.10.2014.

Played 4h today, first 2 at nl10, then tables became bad, wanted to continue so switched to nl5.

I am disappointed overall with my mental game. I don't tilt which is big + , but I also can't seem to shot higher limits.

I am earning more than the average salary in my country and I can't seem to figure out yet what would be good way to balance money withdrawal and moving up, since I actually need that money. Being a risk averse person is not helping at all.

Anyway here is a graph from today.

One of the ideas I got was to maybe deposit on other network, i.e. Stars and play Zoom 2 hours a day and to use that money only to shot limits and to not think of it at all as money for living. And to use money from Hive only for living since it is enough...Not quite sure yet if it is good idea.

nice blog! I'm playing similar limits having switched from SNGs. Will be following with interest :)
