Zero to Hero, in one aspect of life

      Hey bros!

I wanted to put on a poker challenge for myself, which I decided to share with you guys in this blog. I've played poker for almost a year and the road so far has not been full of big wins or WSOP bracelets.

I'm a 22, healthy person so I guess there's no hurry for me. That's why I'm going to have really conservative, long term challenge with not too high expectations. Here it is:

My starting bankroll will be this ~160$ and I will start with playing 6-max NL5 speed tables (2 tables at first) with quite TAGish-style. I'm aiming for 10k hands /week

I will be happy with my summaries monthly even with +/- 0 results, because I'm aiming to get my profits from RB's and bonuses.

This is my table for progression:
      160$-270$ = NL5
270$-700$ = NL10 (goal is to reach this by 15.1.2015)
700$-1300$ = NL25 (goal is to reach this by 1.4.2015)
1300$-2500$ = NL50 (goal is to reach this by 1.8.2015

Total objective is to have 2000$ on my roll by 1.1.2016.

For hardcore gamers this is really slow progress, but trust me: for me it's realistic. I'm dedicated hardly to my sport, Rugby, so poker will be my secondary focus.
I will update this blog atleast once a week, probably more.

Ok boys. No one really caught on this thread, but atleast over 40 guys checked it out. Cool! Well, I keep updating to keep myself busy and to keep track of my record.

Basically my game has been good, wasted 15$ on first days on simply spewing around, but got my shit together and now I've played solid.

BR now: 219,75$ and I haven't cashed in my rakeback yet. Planning to cash in every end of month.

Most of my profits here I've got with Speed NL5 3-tabling and some from PLOH/L5, which is quite soft here in iPoker. HiLo is also more entertaining on iPoker compared to Stars, because the rakebacks and bonuses are just so much better. Cheers, I'll keep in touch :f_drink:

Hi Sawzi and welcome to blogs!

Seems to me you have your head screwed on the right way round so wishing you good luck might be unnecessary - but I'll do it anyway - good luck! :s_thumbsup:

You say you play rugby, we have rugby as our national sport here in Wales, do you play high level or a club amateur with ambition perhaps? My local team are the Scarlets, being a player youirself, you may have heard of them?

Anyway, I shall pop in to see how this challenge of yours is going, I like leisurely and sensible plans as well.

Oh - and yes, plo hi/lo is so funny at these limits! :D

      Best regards and run hot,

So cashed out my VPP's today and Bankroll starts to look good at 234,21$ so that's already over +70$ winnings. :milord:

Thank you Gadget51 for kind words. I currently play at the top level here in Finland, but here we only have two levels to play at, so it's consider amateur games anyway. I'm not too familiar with British/Wales' local rugby teams, but I've been watching Wales' international games. :f_thumbsup: Thumbs up for G. North and Wales in 2015 World cup!

Probably this week I got a bit more time to play poker, so I'll expect bigger changes to Bankroll this week, hopefully positive changes.

Oh, don't you just love these kinda hands on sunday night Hi/Lo -games?
