      Hi guys,

Thanks for joining me for last week's Xmas Cracker coaching - we'll be running another one next Monday 15th December at the same time (7pm CET) focused this time on middle stages of play including bubble play.

I'd like to invite you all to post hands at any effective stacks from 50bb downwards, from any stage of the tourney other than final few tables. Just specify when you post whether it was pre-ITM, ITM or bubble. The best posts will be short-listed for a winner, and the top contributor will be featured in a guest spot discussing hands in one of my upcoming coaching videos in January :)

If you'd rather post a hand anonymously please just PM it to me and I'll include it with your name listed as Hero. I welcome all hands, from spots where you crushed, to spots where you were crushed!

Whether or not you choose to post a hand, please feel free to join us next Monday for some cracking tournament analysis!

Good luck on the grind this December,

      LuckyLuke

Really enjoyed the first Xmas-Cracker coaching-session!!!
(some great VALUE here as well, imo)

my first hd: 26BBs eff. - ITM

      Poker Stars, $10 Buy-in (3,000/6,000 blinds, 600 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      SB: 62,440 (10.4 bb)
      BB: 184,666 (30.8 bb)
      Hero (UTG+1): 273,414 (45.6 bb)
      UTG+2: 259,921 (43.3 bb)
      MP1: 136,692 (22.8 bb)
      MP2: 61,114 (10.2 bb)
      MP3: 153,426 (25.6 bb) [16/12/6 - 44 hds]
      CO: 167,424 (27.9 bb)
      BTN: 210,538 (35.1 bb)

      Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q Q
      Hero raises to 12,000, 3 folds, MP3 calls 12,000, 3 folds, BB calls 6,000

      Flop: (44,400) 7 J J (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 19,536, MP3 calls 19,536, BB folds

      Turn: (83,472) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets 24,000, Hero calls 24,000

      River: (131,472) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets 30,000, Hero???

(villain seemed a slightly-nittish tag player that I hadn't seen get out of line at all, and rvr size looks valuey to me)

(sidenote) is my CB-sizing ok for this sort of effective-stacksize/hd-strength/flop/villain?

      19BBs eff. here ITM - villain: 16/9/5, 44hds

      Poker Stars, $10 Buy-in (4,000/8,000 blinds, 800 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

      SB: 213,938 (26.7 bb)
      BB: 63,040 (7.9 bb)
      UTG+1: 161,566 (20.2 bb)
      Hero (UTG+2): 281,018 (35.1 bb)
      MP1: 417,655 (52.2 bb)
      MP2: 151,272 (18.9 bb)
      MP3: 105,959 (13.2 bb)
      CO: 81,090 (10.1 bb)
      BTN: 140,856 (17.6 bb)

      Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with K Q
      UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to 16,000, MP1 folds, MP2 calls 16,000, 5 folds

      Flop: (51,200) T K 6 (2 players)
      Hero bets 22,528, MP2 calls 22,528

      Turn: (96,256) 7 (2 players)
      Hero bets 42,352, MP2 raises to 111,944 and is all-in, Hero ???

villain's flat at this effective stack was a bit odd and my initial impulse was that this may be an indicator of strength, especially with the other shorties still to act behind - his flat on the flop/trn rse is a bit weird as well I think, and I really struggled to put him on a range here
