      Hello,

My name is Craig I started playing poker back in 2010, I deposited $10 and turned it into $100 drew it off and repeated that again, only the 3rd time I couldn't win again :f_cry: . , I was playing for about 3 years with 3-6month breaks.

After about 3 years of playing on and off, my bankroll started to creep up (ever so slow :f_biggrin: ). my dad decided to give me $500 to play with because he's a nice guy like that. one night I came back pissed out my head and lost it all to space gravy on pokerstars. I was kicking my self for months and months and haven't been able to play right since until recently.

shortly after this I bought a book "The art of modern day poker" I think it was called, and found my way here after JC TT and Manu said in the book somewhere lol, I still couldn't play right I was tilting after being at the table for ten minutes, so I decided to quit and have a break for a long time.

After a long 12 month break partying and socialising. I finished work one night, ate, showered and put Netflix on my pc and watched rounder's, suddenly the itch came back, and I couldn't help but load up pokerstars :f_thumbsup: .

But this time I'm not tilting (as much lol) and putting in more theory then practical at the moment. so I deposit $60 and started my poker adventure again. I watched a few vids on tilt and they changed my way of thinking completely. I definitely fell under the paranoid player last time. but after all the learning I've constructed a solid win rate at the NL25 and below, here is what I have played so far.

I watched some videos and read some strategy's on here as I was playing NL2 to start with, it was a bit rocky to begin with hadn't played for like a year so I was making some really common mistakes lol. after 2 days or so I was back to playing good poker in fact after the all the videos and theory I have put in I was playing better then I ever have before. my game was on a whole new level. I had a 3 hour session at 2NL and left the table with $22 ive never EVER got even close to that before. this had a very positive impact on me.

My bankroll was $77 after the 2 days it took me to get back into the game. I decided to take a shot at the Tankroll BRM after watching the video in the strategy section. so I played NL5 up to $100, then I played NL10 up to $150 then NL25 up to $250 in like 2 days I was flying until.... NL50 and those dreaded restealers, unfortunately this was new to me and I didn't know how to counteract it, everything I seemed to do was bad poker. to start with it was fine but then I struggled and was quickly back to NL25, I got up again then down again this happened about 5-6 times the last time I got up I had a very good session at NL25 in 30 minutes my BR went from $230-$370 then the worst thing happened my attempt at NL50 again... I tilted my $370 BR back to $105. But I have spent 2 days learning some more theory in the section I was struggling with resteals, and ive constructed a a game plan if I get back to NL50 I can tackle it better (rather then tilt shoving crap cause I don't know how to counteract ,y opponents lol) , only this time I will try to build up a BR of $1500 before trying to beat the NL50.

This is a blog is a remake, my other blog is messed up I will keep this one as accurate as I can.

As for now now my challenge is simple build my $166BR to $250 so I can move up from NL5-NL10 then I will set a new challenge.

Im going to stick to a strict 25BI before moving up and taking 5 shots before moving down.
I will be buying in at the deep stacked games for 100bbs and playing some zoom.

I will post up problem hands and graphs after each session.

      Hey Craig,

Awesome first post. I even felt your pain as I read about The 'roadblock' at NL50. You have definitely thought this through and hopefully next time you hit NL50 you'll stay, that is until you're ready to move up to NL100. :s_biggrin:

GL at the tables and I hope to see some nice giraffes. :s_thumbsup:

      Cheers :f_drink:

I'm not sure what was messed up with your other blog (other than no updates for a few weeks), I thought it was decent...
Anyways, good luck with blog 2.0 :f_thumbsup:

ok here is my first graph after 2.2k hands, ive made about 4 costly mistakes about $18 worth, witch is why showdown line is low.

ive also had 2 bad hands that cost me $5 and $6 55 vs ak all in on a flop on A-K-5 turn A, and 77 vs A7 all in on a flop of T-7-A turn 4 river A Never mind ay!

      Bankroll $191

last night I read about 10 pages of that book (the mental game of poker), and sat down at some tables at pokerstars, played a session for about 2 hours the results were terrible, as you can see below.

I quit after losing 8 buy ins at 2/5 6max deep witch was about $40. although I was aware that my emotions and tilt got the better of me..... somewhere in the back of my mind. I've never really thought much into the mental part of poker, that is until after when I read the first 60 or so pages of that book, rather then just ignoring tilt and emotions and keeping it in the back of my mind, and flaming about how much money I've lost , this book has taught me that my emotion and tilt is the biggest weakness and made me aware that I need to work on this harder then anything else in my game at then moment.

      Bankroll $150
