villain was playing 36/29/2.5 with like 40% 3 bet pfr, for 20 hands. obviously not much, but maybe a tendency can be seen. My question is about the raise on the flop, i think the kinda small 3 bet that i made was terrible, it turned my hand face up. so should i have just called and let him fire on the turn or just push on the flop and be done with it?

against such a fish I reraise much bigger PF, he is calling anyway with his pockets/broadway. On the flop, you are way ahead, I would simply call, let him catch something or his underset if we get lucky. But raising is not a mistake either since now you know he loves to donk/fold to a minraise Kxx flops, a valuable information also.

I would call flop, since what hand he can represent here which would call your raise. Basically nothing, so I don´t mind calling flop bet, hopefully he would bet again on the turn and if turn is blank then I´d also call hoping that he´d shove river.
If he doesn´t bet turn, then you can make smt like 7$ bet and put the rest in on the river.
