If you are using Vista, disable user account control.

Also with all of the poker tracking software I have come across,
It is a requirement to run every single .exe as an administrator.

Even the files that you dont directly run yourself, but are run by the main program, like for example the hud .exe in the poker tracker directory must also have this option checked.

I am using Vista 64 and am having no problems with PT3

Thanx for your input, turning off UAC has not helped however. How do I run .exe as an admin, although i think i am all ready.

      I get this error message:
''unable to connect to this database please check configuration'.
when i click the postgreSQL box.

      Cheers
      Andy

I'm no expert, but from what I can gather, PostgreSQL is a database system that runs off Structured Query Language (SQL), but runs in a similar way to windows services (ie - in the background to allow for constant addition to the database).

I was getting the error too.

What you do to fix this is actually goto start
then goto all programs and then you find and open your sql.

Then you just disconnect and recconect.

And your problem will go away.

Rebooting your computer is the simpler and lazier way to do this.

I have only had to disconnect and reconnect once.
Since then it has been problem free.

      Are you using a router?

OK I will try this, and yes I am using a router, does that make a difference? SQL does work on my Elephant.

Your suggestion will be my last attempt at this and if that fails I'll use some other software................

      Thanx
