Hello and welcome to my poker journal.

I'm 25 years old player from Latvia, who has been playing poker (poorly) for some years now. I have tried to start playing poker "seriously" once or twice. I tried SNG 9 max and as you can tell from the previous sentence i didn't do so well :D then i switched to cash and lost quite a bit there over the years. Basically what I'm trying to say is, if you ever played a hand VS me on PS NL2 - NL10 6max you have probably marked me in honorable green color... OK, maybe i exaggerate a bit. I do have some understanding of the game and mostly I'm loosing because of my game style and lack of discipline at the tables.

The main reason behind me creating this poker journal is to set goals for my self. I think its better to set them up here, in open, on the paper. I hope this will give me encouragement that i need to start playing smart and keep to my plan for the future regarding poker and maybe some other things. Start posting graphs in my journal. Begin posting hands that i don't understand on the forums.

Even if no one posts up here or reads my journal, i think its the very important first step to make progress in poker.
      Here are my first goals for the next week starting Sunday;

      1.Play 8k hands on NL2 in first 3 days.
      2. Overview my hands every day for at least 30 minutes. Work on my game style, fix leaks.
      3. Set proper ranges for the limit and STICK to them.
      4. Post at least 2 hands per day in my journal and a graph every day or two with comments.
      5. Post at least 2 hands per day on forums.
      6. Play minimum of 20k hands by the end of the week.
      7. Watch VOD's for 1h a day before playing.

My plan is to play NL2 until i feel comfortable enough with my game to play on NL5. I hope to switch to NL5 by the end of the week. After i have done all the requirements that i set for the upcoming week, set new challenge for my self and new goals. The idea is to start playing NL10 in 2 weeks. I might have set the hand requirement too high ( I do work 9h a day) after the challenge i will adjust my hands per week.

I will start posting hands and graphs tomorrow. GL to me, i will need it :D

First graph from today, played for 1h 4 zoom table on PS. Got some coolers at the end, QQ vs KK, lower full house vs higher full house.

Me either. Why you bet so small on turn and river?
I would most likely even 3bet on turn and stack of there with the Full house, but I’m a cash game fish.

I would push on the river with the flush.

played 11k hands yesterday. That's over 3k that i intended to play in 3 days. The results are bad tho, mad some bad calls and got coolers with KK vs AA 5 times last night. No feeling confident enough after last night to play on NL5 yet. So i will play another 8k hands until Monday and see where i stand.

      Here is the graph.

And an over all graph starting from Sunday.
